  1. Texas continuing their egg laying against Oklahoma State....down 71-51 with 7 1/2 minutes left at home. For IU in terms of making the tournament it's not so much whether a team below them is in or out, it's whether they can surpass IU on the S-curve. Rutgers could potentially pass IU, but UCLA, Texas, and Purdue (which is out barring a an auto bid) seem to lost chances to get closer and there isn't much time left.
  2. Good luck with your thesis.
  3. He wasn't. Clark Kellogg seemed perturbed when he said it.
  4. You nailed it....it was him.
  5. LOL.....CBS between games just said that they think Purdue is going to the NCAA tournament.
  6. Dead center on the shot as well.
  7. He hits the second....and then USC HITS A DAGGER THREE WITH ONE SECOND LEFT. USC wins an ugly game, 54-52. UCLA falls to 19-12 and now most likely loses their biggest claim to an at large bid (winning the PAC 12 conference regular season IF Oregon beats Stanford in Oregon.
  8. UCLA hits first. Time out, tie game. Cody Riley shoots second for UCLA to take the lead with 9 seconds left. He's a 53% shooter.
  9. I can't emphasize how bad that foul call was....two guys grabbing each other's arms and they call a foul on one guy.
  10. OMG....horrible, horrible foul call on USC on a rebound with 9 seconds left.
  11. USC missed both free throws. UCLA ball down 1 with a chance to win, 22.9 seconds left.
  12. Yeah, and I miscounted....it is actually 10 below us on the matrix and IU was in on all 108 brackets.
  13. USC called for a very questionable charge. UCLA ball, 44.4.
  14. USC up 1, 1:12 left.
  15. USC up 3 with 1:41 left against UCLA. About to go to the line.
  16. I would strongly disagree. Bracketmatrix this morning (108 brackets) had us as a 9 seed with TEN teams below us. A loss to Wisky doesn't do anything close to that much.
  17. Big bubble game tonight as Oklahoma goes to TCU. TCU won't be in (or near in) with a win, but it's a 50/50 type of game that could move Oklahoma down toward the bubble.
  18. Seems to be a lot of panic right now from IU fans that I'm not sure is warranted. The NCAA committee isn't Joe Lunardi.
  19. USC up 45-42 over UCLA with 5 minutes left.
  20. Cool. But you asked if 11 teams were getting in the tournament and then say Purdue isn't getting in. So tell me which 11 you were talking about.
  21. Seriously....what in the **** are you talking about.
  22. I wasn’t trying to indicate you messed up the stats....just was saying that the person reporting it did.
  23. Good post, but he couldn't have been 14 of 16 from the field with 6 of 6 from three as that would total 34 points without free throws. The stats I saw posted were 12 of 14 from the field and 5 of 5 from deep. That would leave the remaining three points coming from the line.
  24. bracketmatrix up for games through yesterday. 9 seeds: Florida, Providence, USC, Indiana 10 seeds: Texas Tech, Arizona St, Oklahoma, Xavier 11 seeds: Rutgers, Wichita State, Stanford, Texas 12 seeds: Cincinnati, UCLA First four out: Utah State, Richmond, Purdue, NC State That's ten at large teams below IU. IF that were true, IU not beating either Wisky or a play in game in the BTT would keep them out. FWIW: Teams from Rutgers up are in at least 89 of the 93 brackets; the iffy teams start below Rutgers (Wichita State, Stanford, Texas, Cincy, and UCLA). Of those teams, only Cincy (48) and UCLA (59) are in less than 60 brackets (UCLA likely is in more brackets because some keep them as a placeholder for a PAC 12 champion as they co-lead the conference -- hard to evaluate them as an at large bid should they not win the PAC 12 title because of this). Of the teams not projected in the field, Utah State is in 38 brackets, Richmond is in 30, Purdue 25, and NC State is in 17. Really only three games of consequence tonight and all three are in the consensus first four out: Utah St. v Wyoming (Wyoming with only 9 wins, Utah St shouldn't lose and if they do, they done); Richmond at Duquesne (important one -- Duquesne is okay and is only a one point dog); and Wake Forest at NC State (NC State can't afford a loss at this point).
