One thing he won't have this year is the 'I'm going to be here as long as I like' line. And unlike last year, he went through a stretch where fans were visibily booing the team. Someone who can read a room knows that sentiment isn't going to be with him. Of course, he can't read a room. I don't get the feeling as well that the players are all that sympathetic of him. From what we've heard, Ballo doesn't respect him. Bako and Tucker certainly don't. I have a feeling that Rice and Reneau aren't happy about coming off the bench. Leal and Galloway had his back last year but it seemed like they weren't coming back until they saw how their NIL was going to increase. His assistants certainly aren't behind him.

I've stated that concern. People with no self-actualization always think things are about them. Senior day is meant to be about the seniors but I am going to be shocked if Woody doesn't use his mic time to point the finger at people who dared to blame him and then take swipes at people he doesn't consider 'true fans'. I fully expect that he isn't going to receive the reaction he thinks he would if he pulls that. I was there for senior day last year and most of the crowd had cleared out before he spoke.

If Woodson is saying McDermott, it's probably McCollum.

IMO: #1. It isn't about what player it was and if they 'were worth sticking up for'. Perea's ability to dribble a ball, score, or rebound has nothing to do with whether the comment is fair game or not. #2: As you said, it was 12 years ago. Fact is that guys commit some pretty heavy duty actual crimes and serve less time than 12 years. I hated the action, but at 12 years it should be a distance blip. I can't recall anything in the 12 years since that would leave me to believe anything but his a 100% solid basketball coach who is above board.

Which reminds me......I try not to disturb my wife in the morning by being quiet, so I pee on the side of the bowl. And still she complains that it ruins the taste of her cereal.
