  1. Cronin is okay. didnt take me 200 posts to give my opinion on him. Took me one and I did it without telling everyone else what to post.
  2. Because if we get to a low major coach (high point is not mid….mid major would be conferences like Mountain West, A-10, AAC) then IU has struck out on their primary candidate list. IU bball can spend, so if we aren’t trying to get a coach that compares to Drew or Otz, what are we doing?
  3. While Santa Clause has decided to withdraw his name and continue coaching Northpole U, the Tooth Fairy has been offered 40 million molars over five years and is still listening.
  4. I will respectfully say there is zero chance that IU is ‘hopping on the Huss Bus’. I have stated that he is a good X and O coach….but there are quite a few of those guys. But I also wouldn’t call high point a mid major. They are low major.
  5. So you think it’s easy to go from being a two year head coach at High Point to taking over the fish bowl at IU? You were the one telling people to get off their ‘high horse’ gif not jumping on…Alan Huss, someone that doesn’t appear on anyone’s search list for IU.
  6. Sorry, love ya Stu, but I'd rather be on a high horse than advocate for a coach from High Point that isn't going to be the coach. And if you want to harp on his record as associate head coach, just go after the guy that was actually the head coach. IU's last two coaches were guys that never been a head coach in a power conference. The odds of them doing it again after two failed experiments is very low.
  7. .....and exactly how would we know whose sources are correct when you won't even say who the candidates are? Pretty easy to say you aren't wrong when you never said what was right.
  8. That's because it wasn't 21-7 in fouls. IU had 15, Oregon had 12 and three of Indiana's fouls were late to get the clock stopped.
  9. 8 years in house as an assistant at Duke. I think they knew what he was capable of. Alan Huss is a good X and O coach but in this or pretty much every alternate timeline he isn't the next coach at IU.
  10. Hopefully whoever the new coach is can look at the fact that Kanaan Carlyle's shot rate is four times what Leal's is and reach the conclusion that isn't right.
  11. I think Oregon is a better matchup. Illinois struggled when they had their center out with mono and had some guys sick but have been pretty good since (except the Duke game...woof).
  12. So Alan Huss is the flavor of the day today? Good coach, but Alan Huss's next stop isn't going to be Indiana.
  13. Link to that statement? I'm finding nothing that would back that up.
  14. But Goode played games in the second half of the year (think he played in the last few games). I think his season was kind of stop and start with the injuries. I do not think there is any precedent for a player getting a redshirt year in those circumstances.
  15. He is but I am going to say 99.99999% he doesn't get one. The one year in question he was over the 30% limit AND was playing games at the end of the year. I can't think of a single player that has gotten eligibility back in those circumstances.
  16. For the record: no one has a higher career winning percentage at Creighton in the last 90 years than McDermott does. And he's done it in the Big East instead of MVC. Dana Altman is a decent coach. He won less in the MVC than McDermott has in the Big East.
  17. Just my opinion......the game wasn't called poorly yesterday. And I'm a guy who is always complaining about officiating. The defensive foul they called on Rice was really the only head-shaking call I can think of.
  18. Against Washington, Ballo and Reneau were never on the court together. Against Oregon yesterday, they played 17 minutes together.
  19. Pom dropped from 47 from 44, Torvik went from 52 to 53.
  20. If IU beats Ohio Stste, their first round game would be Thursday against a quad 1 team.
  21. If IU beats Ohio State on Saturday, IU will be the 9 seed in the BTT and likely face either Oregon or Illinois on Thursday. If IU loses to Ohio State, the Hoosiers will be the 10 seed in the BTT and play the 15 seed on Wednesday.
  22. Missed free throw. Double free basketball in Columbus. I would think the loser of the game is likely eliminated from the NCAA tournament.
  23. I swear I don't see the foul call they just made on Nebrasketball....kid was straight up. OSU with a free throws to take the lead with 7.4 seconds left.
  24. Nebraska up 3 in OT on Ohio State. Would think an Ohio State loss would take winds out of their sails coming into their game against us as they'd likely not have a realistic chance at making the tourney. Then again, a Nebraska loss likely keeps them out of the tourney and we control what we do against OSU.
