Is the fact he chose us to be a star really a good reason to let him start. I'm sure Gelon wants to be a star also. And we have a season and a half of evidence to suggest that his D is so bad that the other 4 guys can't make up for it. Was it awake forest that beat us by simply passing to whoever he was guarding.

I really don't think Talent is Creans problem.    In a related note   In another topic it was asserted that when JBJ gets healthy his starting spot is waiting for him regardless of how we play without him for the remainder of the season.  This is probably true.  Which I think is a problem.    We lose JBJ and all of a sudden we play better team ball, we care more about taking care of the basketball and oh yeah we have the best defensive efficiency in the Big Ten.  And yet we are already penciling in a return to the before time.    That to me is why Crean will need to go, failing to address issues on the team because certain guys are guaranteed a starting spot no matter how poorly they play or disinterested they play.  You have to hold players accountable.

I feel like that could be related to JBJ though. An attitude of he's not trying why should I could have set in.

If we continuing being tops in the big ten in defense without JBJ he can't be a starter next year. If he is that will just be another nail in creams coffin.

If Michigan holds on in the second half we will be first in the big ten.

Was one of my posts deleted for being off topic?  Was just discussing what Purdue struggled with today, Guard play.  Which is something they have struggled with and something we can exploit. 

I have no problem with this signing, hopefully he brings us Rawle too.  We could still use an X factor player and Rawle can definitely be that.    Will be interesting to see who becomes our PG next year

This victory is even sweeter with Purdue falling to Illinois today. 

If this becomes a constant thing. The little things like Effort and caring about the basketball, I will reconsider my position on Crean.    My question is why now?  If it really is that JBJ went to the bench, then why wasn't Crean benching him if his lack of effort was so infectious why didn't Crean recognize that and deal with the problem.

Yeah but one year we looked to be returning everybody and thus our recruiting was held back naturally. This last summer it looked like we would be losing quite a few people and thus would have playing time to offer. And it's not going to stay 18th it's going to go down unless we add somebody and other than a few long shots who are we still in the mix for?

  I meant this year as in Cujo and Davis.  Davis is great and all, but we beat out a MSU team that was going to offer him real competition for playing time.  Whoopdie do. 

Because even without major success prior he could still recruit. But even this year we saw that slip. Next year it will be worse.

Without major success this year Crean won't be able to recruit anymore. The cupboard will grow bare for the eventual successor. Where as if we fire him this year a competent coach could have us in the top 25 from day 1
