  1. So these current players should be mad at their teammate for decades of futility.  That makes sense.
  2. Considering the last TD was scored like 3 plays after a Turnover they really don't have much room to talk
  3.   Thats not Brutal, thats just IU football
  4.   Aww they said Nation to give us the benefit of the doubt. Thats nice of them.
  5. The problem is that no coach worth paying is willing to come here.  Its a catch 22.  That by no means is me advocating to keep Wilson. Hes an idiot and worse than Lynch to boot.  Could we demote Wilson to head recruiter and bring lynch back?
  6. Even if hes walking I doubt he can do all the stuff you need to do physically to be his normal self.
  7. So do we fire Wilson today or do we give him a lame duck crack at the bucket?
  8. I don't think this is going to be an issue.  4-8 is looking like a very real possibility
  9. I'm going to sell, that was the number 1 offensive team in the country and the 26th ranked defense IIRC.  Defense is more important for tourney success anyway and that team was definitely better than our current team.
  10. Come on Vandy be win.  We wanna be your first loss
  11.   I think he can be a contributor for sure.  I just am not comfortable with him starting.  I don't think he got that kind of potential.  Thats why I think Brown could have started Day 1.    We are already pretty freaking bad at holding onto the basketball.  Its going to be even worse if we don't get somebody who is a better ball handler.    If the NCAA actually does its job and punishes UNC and the let the athletes out of their LOI I would hope we would be active towards Seventh Woods.
  12. Can anybody actually link me to video of Thon playing in an actual game and not looking lost?  The only time I have ever seen him look good is in highlight vids.      Its not like Cujo is going to be ready to contribute day 1 necessarily.  And not sure Newkirk will ever demand that large of a role.
  13. Did Kegler actually sign that LOI?
  14. I know some people are against offering early.  But can we please offer him, pretty please.
  15. "You missed a ton of FTs"  The look on his face
  16. Maryland just decided they wanted to win and Georgetown just couldn't stay composed.
  17. Duke isn't going to struggle to score like this against us.  Will be interesting to see how much we will be able to disrupt them though
  18.   I can't tell if he is dumbing himself down for the casual fans who don't understand basketball(UK fans).  Or if he really knows that little about basketball.
  19. I think OG would have to really improve to justify starting over Rojo.  But if he did wow.
  20.   I think you are onto something here.  Hes smart though and knows his teammates will matter.  Its going to important to show him he will have the cast behind him to succeed.  With Rojos improved defense we could field a defensive minded team still very capable of scoring.    Brown Johnson Alkins Davis Bryant   Not even going to list backups because we will be so deep who knows.  Thats the story we have to sell Alkins.  We can crash and burn this year and as long as Rojo and Bryant looks good we can sell that story.  This is contingent on getting Brown of course.    We have beat NC State with that story because they are going to be selling him the same thing.
  21. OG will fit there, but have to give the nod to Rawle if we snagged him.  OG could be an X factor off the bench then take over the reins his junior year.
  22. This is awesome to if we can get him this semester.  Frees us up to focus on Rawle and then attract a grad transfer with the final scholarship.    Im also super excited at the prospect of a defensive backcourt with our shortest rotation player being 6'3
  23.   At what point is the onus on the offense to give the D time to rest   All 4 of Penn States TDs came after IU possessions of 2 minutes or less.  3 of the 4 OSU TDs came after IU possessions of 2 minutes or less.    Some of them were even less than a minute.    They are a defense built to play in conjunction with a high powered if the offense could get its crap together they would look better.
  24.   I never said our D was good.  Your putting words in my mouth to make my point less valid.    Our D put us in position to win in 2 or 3 games this year despite not being good.  And our offense has crapped the bed.  Our offense is supposed to be constant and consistent side of the ball.     They scored 10 points on the first 10 possessions of the game against OSU.  The defense had held OSU in check the D should have had the benefit of a 24-6 lead, instead they had a 10-6 lead.  10 of the 17 points against OSU in the second half had to come off turnovers because the offense couldn't get their crap together to mount an 80 yard drive.    Against Penn State we had slightly over 24 minutes time of possession.  We had 7 points the entirety of the Penn State game. Penn state    They hold these opponents pretty well during the first 3 quarters but then get blown out in the 4th because they are built to play with a lead, and they occasionally need to rest with a long drive.    I never said our defense was good.  But to act like we are always losing because of our defense is stupid.  They have given us chances.  But they are rarely set up for success.  Playing 35+ minutes a game with a deficit.
  25.   We run the hurry up offense thats exactly what the team is designed to do.  Score fast, score often, outscore opponent.    And if the D got so torched against Penn State in the second half how come they only gave up 10 points.  The FG drive was after a pathetic punt and they only got 15 yards on it.  Thats not really the D failing.  Thats the offense and special teams setting them up to fail and them doing the best they can.    Against OSU they held the #1 team in the country to 34 points.  That is a solid defensive effort for the type of offense we run.  Thats the 3rd fewest points we have allowed all season.  And if the offense had done their job in the first half it would have helped the D in the second half by making the OSUs play calling more predictable.    Hell to add another game the D had us in the MSU game, but they fell apart at the end because they were gassed because the offense couldn't hold onto the ball and let them rest.
