    He hardly had the same resume as Drew does. And I never said its not a gamble. But Crean is the equivalent of betting on black and red. At best we break even with him.

    I'd rather have a guy who has never coached in a power 5 and see what he can do than stick with a guy we know we can't get what we want from. But I have always maintained Stevens and Donovan are the guys we call first. Everybody pray the thunder fall apart.

    While only 11 who have done it there are quite a few more who could potentially do it with our resources. If Crean Flames out this year and Illinois starts sniffing around Drew it would be wise to cut our losses. I'd rather give somebody new 3-4 years and find out if they are the guy than to stick with Crean who can't be the guy.

    So you think we lose 2 more? And Iowa loses 2 more?

    With our resources a final four is not to much to ask for. Notice how most of the blue bloods have somebody who has been multiple times? That's because that's how it should be.

    Something we have in favor for us is that Iowa plays at OSU on sunday and then they turn around and have to play us on Tuesday.    Where as we play on Thursday and then get to rest.   Come on Triple OT against OSU

    Id go with Rojo over Niego but will be interesting to see if he can take advantage of more playing time

    A win here will be huge and if Iowa chokes against the Badgers will almost assure us a share of the title.

      Id rather Michigan win today and stick the fork in so that we can root for Maryland to beat Purdue

    Yeah we are well poised for a second outright title even. Yogi will be the first IU player to do that in my life.

      Can't possibly still exist.  That or they just ignored everybody.  Because as I said Valentine would be out of a job

      Yeah I can't imagine many coaches like him.  Always though coaches should be allowed to pick 1 ref that they don't have to deal with each year.  Feel like Valentine would be out of a job.

      Yeah i get that but this topic is supposed to be the safe zone.  You mods tell us to keep it out of the other threads so we post here.  So why are you then coming in complaining we are posting our stuff here.

      Honestly not so sure, Iowa is in rough shape even the objective members of their fanbase are concerned.

      Win this and I think we almost guaranteed a share of the Big Ten title, mostly because Iowa and Maryland have tough schedules as well

      Well good thing we have 10 days till Iowa, really have no reason to lose to Illinois even without him

      Yeah thats what I am assuming though he would get told at the predraft that he is a late first round possible second rounder.  And him being a smart kid he would choose to come back.
