  1. Watch Mark Cuban getting access to the IU football team during a NC run and tell me he got no ROI. For him dropping a few millions to have the time of his life with the team is like you or I spending a couple thousand to take the family to Disney. It’s about the experience not the ROI. It’s not an investment it’s entertainment
  2. Donors aren’t a finite resource. New donors pop up every year. Some will get burned but new ones will get involved. And the schools who spend it wisely will get a ROI and keep the price high as they bid against each other.
  3. How isn’t this sustainable? If the donors are willing to foot the bill.
  4. Coach said it himself the keys to helping a good QB be great is to give them a good defense and a good running game. In a more situational set of scenarios a great line is the important. Cig has likely given Hoover all 3. It’s time for Hoover to decide if he’s ready to be great the way Fernando did and in his own way Rourke did before. I think and hope he will.
  5. Not soon enough to get the kind of players we needed. That’s all I can remember
  6. This season just doesn’t feel like it will be truly complete till our guys get drafted. Especially Fernando. I hope we keep the tradition alive of playing ABBA at games would be fun and unique and would let me explain the my grandkids one day the pure magic of this past season.
  7. Isn’t it so nice to be able he should go to the school that has won a national title in his lifetime
  8. I saw a podcast yesterday that basically said we are going to be hated real quick be the rest of football. Cig is going to keep winning so u think that’s true
  9. The only way to get rid of the portal is to classify they as employees and have them sign multi year deals. Pick your poison
  10. The goal will be to keep them unless it’s for a promotion. Losing guys for promotion is ok. This can’t be like the old days where people leave for the same role elsewhere
  11. If we repeat as champs I have to think Cig will say something like “I guess Nick can wear some gold shoes to the celebration just this once”
  12. One in West Lafayette while the other is in South Bend. Has to be done
  13. If this is true then maybe IU has finally decided to start trying to win
  14. Success? A round of 32 loss as his peak being success is scary
  15. They probably should have beaten Miami in Miami then lol. ND fans are ridiculous. Oregon Fans have been so cool. They were supposed to be the next first time champs. For like a decade they were almost next in line and the fanbase has been nothing but cool with us winning it. OSU have been a bunch of little trolls but it’s OSU and that’s just who they are. But ND hasn’t won crap since I turned 2 and my knees hurt when I stand up now. Least they could do would be cool with us winning. Purdue fans were by and large cooler with us winning. Im torn between wanting ND getting left out next year or us curb stomping them
  16. That and PG are what we desperately need and hardest to pay. We should pay as much for our PG and C as the rest of the roster if not more
  17. Agreed although I don’t think they have a real Heisman candidate. I’m just not that impressed. Would love to see Miami and BYU stuff them in a locker this year then the committee rank them 13th due to they’re weak schedule.
  18. Totally worth it I am sure. I saw a ton of ND hate yesterday. Wonder if being so close to a NC triggered them.
  19. This was best case scenario. Hopefully the kid knows what it takes to be a winner now.
  20. Him or Odenkirk would be my top choices.
  21. I am 100% going to be cheering for TCU to make the CFP after this dudes picking a fight with a former athlete. If Hoover didn’t fix his turnover problem after all those years at TCU says more about his coaches than it does him.
  22. It’s a relief that he calls us the home team. Doesn’t sound like something he would say about multiple schools
