I agree with the above quote. But for IU that means, in my opinion, winning SEASONS and not simply four games against some seemingly weak teams. To change the IU culture or the way people think, you need multiple winning seasons and some bowl games as well. We’re off to a good/great start, but I don’t expect sellout crowds after four games. We all know that we’ve had decades of miserable football and that’s why people leave at half or don’t show up at all. Get some consistent winning and then people will react differently. JMHO.

How bad, you ask? They beat Gardner- Webb 27-26 last Saturday to make their record on the year 1-2 while G-W is 0-3. I would imagine a fair number of backups will get into this game because it should be a blowout.

Plus after we beat the crap out of turdue and win a bowl game I imagine that our AD and prez might be open to the idea of giving him a bonus or raise as a sign of their and the university’s appreciation. :))

HSN has a post with a photo showing Carlyle, Woodson, Howard after breakfast at Uptown’s today. Poster who took the photo said Ya was across the street. Poster is a well known Uber guy who watches what’s happening and drives IU players frequently.

Yeah, you probably have a point regarding the system in which Karaban plays. Maybe I need to read back farther into the thread regarding the point being discussed. I thought it was more of a basic comparison of the two players. I prefer Karaban and Hurley’s system.

Reneau and Karaban are as different as night and day athletically and as basketball players. Both may be 6’8” or whatever and be labeled as “big’s” or “4’s”, but that’s where the similarities end. Karaban is pretty damn dynamic and Reneau…not so much.

Yeah…there’s been some similar “discussion” regarding this very subject over on HSN. One poster was a bit more direct and dismissive of CC’s approach to building the roster so far…and letting some recruits go.

It makes complete sense. Does he want to be part of a big time program or a total rebuild? It’s a no brainer decision after three(?) years of IU football.
