You know what they call a guy with 2 daughters and 4 grandkids? A rookie. /s I get your sentiment, and whole-heartedly agree... we have six grown kids (ages 39-49) with 17 grands (ages 9-23). We are fortunate that all but one daughter and one granddaughter live within 20 minutes of us, and we get to see them, enjoy them and pour into them regularly. Now, let's get this IU basketball thing settled and rolling again...

Wasn't the "event" a BoT meeting? Isn't he the chairman of that board? Seems like a reasonable "request"... and on what planet does getting to your moonlighting job become the responsibility of your employer? I'm not defending Buckner either... I would never do that. As far as getting booed at a IU basketball game... does he even attend them? He could not have ever watched one and still continue to defend the Wizard of Broad Ripple.

The guy is simply amazing... he's blowing off pre- and post-game interviews with Don Fischer because he's embarrassed that he's an entitled brat and crappy coach who hasn't recruited for 4 years... but he can take the time to travel to Florida on the company dime to "recruit" a kid who's already committed and who would crawl over broken glass to play for IU... So glad he's gone soon, but wish he was gone last year... he's screwed up this program more in the past 4 years in more ways than we can count, and walked away with $20M...

And some of the folks around here want to hire him? No thanks. Just no thanks...

Indeed... this is gonna sting for quite a while. I don't hate anybody... it's not how I'm wired... but this situation almost makes me want to start... Buckner is public enemy number one.
