  1. That's about all we can do. We have no say... and have to trust Dolson to get it right... or die trying. Crean did a good job digging us out of Sampson's mess... but with the #2 and #4 pick in the same NBA Draft, he was unable to get out of the sweet 16... and couldn't teach how to beat a zone... Arch was in over his head... a classic example of the Peter Principle, IMO. He was great at the MM level, but just didn't have what it took to get it done here... Tired of the roller coaster of big names that aren't coming (Donovan, Stevens) and the untouchables like Few, Musselman and maybe Beard... But have we sunk to the Alford or Woodson level? Thankfully, it's not my call to make..
  2. After dropping $10 large to fire Arch... I hope to God that he has a plan.
  3. They will now...after losing to Oral Roberts 81-78 just now.
  4. Not to pick nits... but CTC > Arch was 11 days (03/16 > 03/27), fire to hire.
  5. Fixed that for ya...
  6. If I had a vote, I’d vote no on Woodson and on Smart. But I don’t have one.
  7. Can someone check to see if SSAH is built on an ancient Native American burial ground? There has to be a reason for this curse...
  8. For the bulk of his tenure it was Jeff Meyer, LaVall Jordan and Bacari Alexander... Both Meyer and Jordan were assistants at Butler pre-dating Stevens.
  9. It tells me that he's not healthy... if he was, given his resume, he'd be working...
  10. Well, I've learned my lesson... 2017 with Donovan and 2021 with Stevens... I'm staying off the hype train until Dolson speaks... I never cared for roller coasters... but the ones at Knott's Berry Farm and Kings Island have to be more fun that these, right?
  11. Dolson isn't talking... we will hear from him when he has a coach... everything else it noise, hype and speculation.
  12. It's a train wreck. We can't look away... and there are still a lot of question - the answers to which we may never know,
  13. Definitely... at the time... but we've got another 24-30 hours under our belts... the sun came up this morning, and it will again tomorrow... we can still get our coach... what didn't happed wasn't meant to be... Dolson gave it his best shot. Now we move on.
  14. I wasn't trying to be a dick or play grammar sheriff... I just spelled it wrong... I was just expressing my distain for/dismissal of his "suggestion"... he's still a moron in my book...
  15. I could be real good with that... but the fact that he's not coaching tells us all quite a bit. And it really is a shame.
  16. #sigh No... just, NO.
  17. Plus, it's Doyle...
  18. Again, I was just asking the obvious (to me) question... and if RMK could have colored Beard's thoughts on IU, how certain are you that Pat also wasn't colored? I mean, you screw my dad over, I'm gonna have an opinion... I guess I've got too much "devil's advocate" stuff in my DNA...
  19. I honestly don't know. It just seems strange to me to hire a guy who you know that you will be replacing in a few (pick a number) years... as opposed to finding a guy who realistically could be a 20-year guy... I actually have nothing against Beilein... just kind of "thinking out loud"... and why borrow trouble down the line? If you can get THE guy now, why wait 4, 5, or 6 years to get him?
  20. Understood. I am not arguing for it... just asking about it... I mean, if you got RMK throwing that much shade on anything, it would have to color your thinking to some extent whether or not you have cause for the grudge. If it is truly a non-issue, then I'm good with it... just asking because, well, who knows?
  21. If he was healthy, given his resume, why isn't he working? Seems like a fair question to me...
  22. Actually ALL of the people who fired RMK are no longer at IU... I said as much in my post... but RMK carried that grudge for a long time after Myles Brand died...
  23. How much is Tonagel paying you to carry his water? I'm only half-way joking...
  24. In the case of Beilein, 4 years is about all he has... I just can't see hiring a dead-end like that... even if JB turns things around, who's to say when his shelf life is up, that the next guy can keep it going?
