I am pretty sure that he's nowhere near the top of Dolson's board... tired of jumping on the "flavor of the month" - whatever mid-major coach manages an upset or good run in the tourney goes to the head of the class... and four years later we're right back where we started. Just get a quality coach with a solid resume that shows results and lock him in.

I thought we all agreed to forego the cheesy tag lines ("Miller Time", "Crean & Crimson", etc).

Ok. I will be THAT guy. We finally fixed the Isaiah/Isiah thing... and now we've got "Cheney" instead of Cheaney? Helluva fan base we got here, folks!

He took way more risks... for every Vic or Will he would drag in 3 or 4 Tijan Jobes, Grant Gelons, Jeremiah Aprils, Peter Jurkins, Bawa Munirus, etc...

He's "Class of '66"... not sure if college or HS... but I'm 68 and graduated HS in '71 and college in '76... so even if it's HS in '66, he's gotta be mid 70s... Man, he really is an Old Fart. :D

And all of this is speculation, hidden behind a shroud of secrecy by an AD playing this one incredibly close to his chest... just waiting to be surprised and thrilled in a good way.

Here's what we know: Stevens said no. Options 2-x are still in the tournament. Matta and Beilein are available. Ok, scratch Matta. There are a number of "IU guys" who have been mentioned, but as far as we know, not offered. I don't think we can eliminate anyone at this point, because Dolson needs a safety net. If 2-x say no and we've already dismissed the "IU guys", then we're stuck with Beilein or some unknown coach. Just thinking out loud.

Old retired fart... all I've done today is grill our dinner on the Traeger (smoked turkey breast) and check this place out... but I do have stuff to do tomorrow, :D

And don't forget... coaches in slots 2 - x are still playing their seasons... so we got some info/buzz on Stevens and then we drop to the "last gasp" candidates, position y - zzz. There's nothing to get excited about here, one way or the other...all of the talk about CTC > Arch being 10-11 days... but both IU and Dayton had completed their seasons before CTC was fired... Dolson started the clock earlier than Glass did with Crean.
