  1. Considering how many times I yelled messages of encouragement to Eron over the years of his visiting IU, I feel like I should really be there. On the other hand, New Jersey.
  2. Nah, it's just one of those things. You know, like, Fruit of the Loom undergarments are fine until you discover the comfort of something like Tommy John or MeUndies and you're like "what the hell was I thinking?" After the first time the team plays with T-Wat, they'll wonder why they wasted so much time with Peter Jurkin.
  3. If we get T-Wat are we more or less likely to get Cockburn? I mean, consider how smooth T-Wat is...
  4. Even praying probably won't do it against OSU. Combine talent and money with a coaching staff who is extremely familiar with most of our players and it's a lot to overcome.
  5. What a weird group of fake offers.
  6. It's not choosing "because of" it's a plus factor. If you really can't decide between two restaurants because they're both awesome in their own unique ways and then you find out Paul McCartney will be eating at one of them, it nudges the equation a little. Alternatively, a recruit may be introduced to another side of IU through a famous instagram or something like that and find he wants to prioritize.
  7. I always heard it was named after Narbonne, France but, you know, Indiana countryfolk can't say Narbonne…
  8. Both named after Rockport, MA I mean, I live in a city named after Portland, ME in a state with town names like "Boring" and "Bend" and a capital named after Salem, MA named after a Biblical city so who am I to judge?
  9. Portland, Kokomo, Brazil, Columbus, Montpelier, Albany, Geneva, Winchester, Syracuse, auburn, Akron, Warsaw, morocco, Monticello, Milan, Versailles, Rockville, and Attica are the ones I think of on top of those. I can't tell you how many times someone told me where they were from and I asked the wrong follow-up because they didn't toss that "Indiana" at the end.
  10. Is this a good place to ask why so many Indiana towns share a name with somewhere else?
  11. I pronounce it as the filtered word leaving a pause for the hyphen. Am I good?
  12. Can confirm Oregon's facilities and dining hall are incredible even as they're aging. No mind reading powers yet, so I can't confirm if it affects decisions, but it sure would affect mine. Eat your enemies.
  13. I don't know that you can really handle the vetting without a firm. You just had an abusive coach scandal, you have another one that everyone seems to remember, you have to be beyond diligent hiring the coach that could define your tenure. Unless they also hired someone there too.
  14. I can't believe JBJ agreed to an "away" combine.
  15. Ugh, I really hope that isn't a euphemism for your purdue person. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  16. Terrible for my bracket; great for basketball.
  17. I don't buy the "trying to get kids time" argument at all, unless you have something to back it up.
  18. Damn, we already lost? I thought the game started at 5:30.
  19. I could have been there for only $140, but it overlapped with my family Christmas.
  20. Too used to cupcakes.
