Sampson, while an elite coach, absolutely had to be fired. You can argue the rule he broke was dumb (and I would agree with you), but it was still a rule for which he continued to break even after the Oklahoma infractions dropped. He received a 5 year show cause for the violations at IU, so there was no way in hell we were keeping him.

I mean...Archie got clapped at home by Indiana State in game 1. This game was horrendous, but that one might have been one of the more embarrassing moments I can remember.

On the plus side, Selection Sunday will be completely stress free.

Actually gross but earned it. Was just texting someone who watched the game, and he said the Wizards were triple teaming and hacking Bam all game, especially in the 2nd half. Still sounds like an unenjoyable watch.

And in the record books, the 2nd highest point total in a single game goes to...Bam Adebayo? Go off, I guess but damn I would have lost money on the bet that said Bam beats Kobe's 81.

Lots of other games went in our favor today, but it doesn't matter if we don't show up. Just win.

We were 5-6 (and only that good because Randle El was that dude), so he was never winning with that record. If we had a decent coach and some offensive help it could have been possible. The fact that he finished 6th in voting on that crap team is a testament to the legend of ARE.

Yep, Louisville can't keep up. I would have thought they had more funds, but talking to several alumni with connections, they say they were middle of the pack in the ACC last year in terms of football spending. They did increase fundraising for this year, but still have trouble competing with top of conference and certainly not anywhere close to Big Ten or SEC schools.

Coop is showing out for sure. The only thing that MAYBE keeps him out of round 1 is the insane depth of talent at WR this year. I could see as many as 6 WR in round 1 (probably unlikely, but certainly possible). -

Duke fans just can't help but be pretentious. It's in their nature. To be (somewhat) fair, rumor is that Duke wanted him but only for '27. If he was 100% set on reclass it was us or Louisville. Either way, very excited to have him aboard!

Definitely could happen. Most likely path would be in the 8/9 game if Iowa St gets the 1 seed. I'm mentally preparing for Greenville, SC (Duke region) or Philly (UConn region) but St Louis would be fantastic. -
They are fantastic. But 6 of their final 8 games are against top 25 teams. They will slip up.
