  1. It’s the same as Archie’s last season. Better to bottom out than risk another season. The basketball program would’ve been in a worse place if he won enough to last enough year. Same with the football program. This was his third conference win in his last 24 attempts. 12.5%. Time for him to leave.
  2. Yes. Can’t stand him
  3. Absolutely not. He’s deserved every ounce of criticism over the last 2.5 years and then some.
  4. A win really would not be ideal for the program. Dolson is probably looking for a reason not to spend $20 mill this off-season. Don’t want to give him one.
  5. 13.2 ppg for IU in its 6 games against P5 schools. 15.4 ppg if you include the Akron game.
  6. To the extent that I care, which isn’t a lot, it’s because it’s embarrassing for IU when its high-profile athletes get arrested. Same way it was embarrassing during the Tom Crean era when his players were getting into trouble. Beyond that, it doesn’t matter to me. I don’t need our players to be role models. If they are, great. It’s an added bonus. Beyond that, I just need them to win games and not do anything too terrible off the court.
  7. Why is it so hard to believe that the dude simply lost his **** at Taco Bell as reported? A millionaire athlete getting pissed off and causing a scene after he’s told no isn’t exactly uncharted territory. At the very least, he did something to make the employees call the police, and he still hadn’t left by the time they got there. Situations like this are a good reminder that we really don’t know these people. I see comments all the time along the lines of “Player/Coach X is such a great guy” from people who have never met said player/coach. And even great people have bad days (or nights).
  8. Northwestern just built an absolutely beautiful new practice facility along Lake Michigan, but I otherwise agree with you.
  9. Didn’t learn anything from Alabama. You bring the shooter his gun, you don’t drive the shooter home after the fact.
  10. Should’ve just played this card up front so we knew not to bother reading the rest. Yes, I’m sure people would’ve been cool with it if Cupps had been the one who lost it in a Taco Bell drive thru at 2 in the morning. Let’s do a run down. - He curses out Taco Bell employees in the drive thru - is refused service and told to leave - He won't leave so police are called - Police show up and tell him to leave - He starts to leave but changes his mind - Police give him around 15 minutes to leave but he still refuses - Police order him out of the car, he refuses - Police break the window, open the door, and order him out of the car - He refuses and is combative as the Police remove him from the car Stop making excuses for him. His behavior was wrong, period. Dude had every opportunity to fix the situation but made wrong decision after wrong decision.
  11. Fingers crossed this means he won’t be back. McAfee is absolutely insufferable. https://twitter.com/fightful/status/1716183688273428570?s=46&t=LoczziaTWuqlhvyvHGT92A
  12. What a weird situation. Honestly? I’d almost prefer for him to have been drunk (if you take away the driving). At least then being so defiant would’ve made sense. Doing it at 2:00 a.m. sober is just a really bad look.
  13. Sources say the officer’s name was Thomas Allen and was overheard muttering “this will make them forget” at the scene.
  14. Could be worse. Make him run it off this morning.
  15. This is why I’ve never liked him. He’s embarrassingly goofy. The complete opposite of cool, calm and collected.
  16. He got an OC job with a much better program immediately after, so it really couldn’t have been that bad. Anyway, I don’t want to distract from how awful Allen is. Today brings Allen to 2-20 in the Big 10 since 2020. Dismantled by Maryland and Rutgers over the past three games, with a 52-7 loss to Michigan sandwiched in between. Will we win another game this season?
  17. I don’t know Tom Allen personally. Never met him. All I know is the Tom Allen we see in the public view and, frankly, it leaves a lot to be desired. Who will he throw under the bus during the postgame press conference today?
  18. I despise him. In any other profession if you performed as poorly as Allen has performed for three straight years you’d be fired. He very likely won’t be.
  19. He went to back to back bowl games before they fired him and his teams were at least entertaining to watch. Lots of offense. IU scored 40+ against 5 P5 schools in 2015. Allen’s teams are both awful and incredibly boring to watch. IU hasn’t scored 40 in a game against a P5 school since 2019.
  20. Yes but Kevin Wilson was a big meanie so we had to bring in Mr. LEO to replace him.
  21. Love Every Opponent has been the motto for a few years now.
  22. Yes Scott because Bloomington is a fun place with many things to do that are more fun than watching the football team get curb stomped each week.
