  1. I'd rather get funky and go with XJ, JHS, Bates, Geronimo at the 4, and TJD at the 5. First off the bench are Race and Galloway.
  2. And yet our defense was still #24 nationally at the end of the year. Defense is not a weakness. Shooting is.
  3. Do we need another Galloway? I'm trying to see how this one makes sense. He seems like the type you add if you have starting guards that are both shooting 40%+ from 3 and you're trying to shore up some defense. I'm sure he can be a good player and contributor on a good team, just not at IU right now.
  4. Not sure, seems like Izzo but that's based on virtually nothing.
  5. I'm seeing rumors he's all bit sealed to a particular school, not sure where or how true they are though. Apparently we've reached out.
  6. Ugh. Our starting 5 should be selected from no more than the below 6 players assuming all are with us next year Xavier JHS Tamar Bates Race Geronimo TJD Obviously the roster can still shake up a bit between now and November.
  7. Not the end of the world then, I think we can find a better fit imo.
  8. Yeah, Geronimo is a player I want back just as much as Trayce. If someone has to leave in order for him to be retained, then so be it. How would we have done against Wyoming without JG? I'm still convinced we'd have won the BTT with a healthy Geronimo.
  9. Keep in mind on Pack - he'd make Purdue a fringe top 25 team. He's a very good player, not a huge difference maker though.
  10. Yep, there are B1G teams who are trying to flip the script. Us, UM, Maryland, and Illinois I feel are trying to forge a new style. Iowa to an extent.
  11. No B1G team likely to start the year in the top 10. Also neither MSU nor UW on this list. If we get Trayce back, no reason to think we can't compete for the B1G next year. There I said it.
  12. I love this group, this would be my favorite starting lineup since Yogi's and Thomas Bryant's last year.
  13. Wow. That'd be wild.
  14. Can someone who speaks "social media" translate this? Is Reanu the one who said "they see this duo"?
  15. I think that every time I hear it. I guarantee the play by play guy (Jim Nantz in this case) thinks "Why do I have to wait for him to say this?"
  16. If we're able to pry Reneau away from the state of Florida, then wow. Get him on campus and I'll give us a puncher's chance at landing him. Really impressive player with nice footwork. Not high-level athlete but that's ok. I love his defensive capabilities from day 1 too.
  17. Hopefully the excitement of his visit still resonates with him. It's gonna be tough to fight off BU and Villanova with their recent success. They've been unarguably two of the top programs in CBB the last 5 years.
  18. Not buying it. If balls are gonna be slapped around the B1G next season, it will have to be done by someone other than Brad Davison.
  19. Dang, I really thought Williams was 100% done. I'm really hoping we're not forced to watch him take multiple steps every time he catches the ball down low next year. He must have traveled 4 times during the St Peter's game and none were called. He is good though.
  20. Style or makeup of roster doesn't matter when you can't hit shots. That's been our problem for forever. Shooting covers up a lot of other deficiencies.
  21. I didn't want to jinx it, but I was always highly doubtful whenever people predicted this was Purdue's year to win it all potentially. Their roster top to bottom is not as impressive as people thought it was. Just because Trey Kaufman redshirted doesn't mean they were that stacked. There were even some iu fans thinking they'd run the table in conference. Crazy how their best team in a while didn't win any hardware whatsoever.
  22. Good, I honestly want him back a lot more than some guys who are still here. He's got a lot of value, maybe just not as a 35 mpg type of guy. On the list of players I've wanted to succeed here, he's at the top along with Maurice Creek.
  23. I'll be a huge fan of wherever Phinisee goes. I'm hoping he stays healthy for an entire year and tears it up. He always seemed like a great kid, and I hate it for him how many setbacks he suffered during his time here.
  24. Doubt he wants to muck it up in the B1G. He's where he belongs.
