Well whoever Purdue ends up with, he'll probably be better than our guy.

Oscar Tshiebwe earning that $2M he garnered to come back. Dude is a monster, but UK has issues. Eventually this NIL money will have to dry up when donors, even super-wealthy billionaires, get tired of flushing money down the toilet and receive no return on their spend.

That is not true at all. There is still a verification process for people who want to be verified.

Hard pass on NY. We've played there a bunch. If they do neutral sites, I'd prefer somewhere different like Toronto, Miami, or even LA.

I've heard some weird things about Nate Oats' personal life recently that you won't read about in the papers anytime soon. None of it is verified but if true, he probably won't be getting a top job anytime soon.

Honestly I wouldn't want Purdue to be part of this. We'll never root for them, and they'll never root for us. It would also benefit their recruiting to be part of an event like this which I don't like. Swap Purdue for Michigan maybe and I'd be cool with it.

(2024) - C Flory Bidunga

Could be another Thon Maker on our hands. Boy was that quite the episode. -
Exactly. Unfortunately there really isn't much in it for the fans. Oh, we get to see the games on Amazon? How innovative! Freakin yawn.

Hoosier Hysteria - Oct. 7 2022

When you remove the bots and spam accounts that total probably comes closer to 4.5 million, which is still pretty impressive. I've never heard of the guy, but if it helps us get top recruits to HH then I'm all for it. -
(2023) - PF Arrinten Page to USC

The portal is just false hope as far as I'm concerned. Teams rarely get who they need, and this isn't limited to IU. Too often we expect to go to the transfer portal to fill in the gaps and expect a Max Bielfeldt level of production, but that is the rare exception. We've struck out far more often than hit home runs. -

Well if he doesn't go to IU, I hope he doesn't go to USC because I don't want to have him in the conference. That just doesn't seem real. -
Brett McMurphy reporting Oregon in preliminary talks with the B1G this week. No surprise. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/ncaafb/report-another-pac-12-school-eyeing-move-to-big-ten/ar-AA113NZ3

Reviews of his play this past weekend make him sound really good. He seems like the type of big the staff covets. Might be an early 2024 favorite of mine.

I honestly hadn't even realized desalination was a proven technology and realistic option until recently. Israel appears to set a great standard for implementing it to an arid region. How California can waste billions and bungle an attempt to build a high-speed rail between LA and SF but not consider desalination blows my mind.

When we were there I told my wife if we could both double our salary I'd live in San Luis Obispo or Santa Barbara in a heartbeat. I did like Fresno too, not to mention Yosemite and the other national parks in the area.
-
True. I was in Santa Barbara for a trip this year and that is one of the most beautiful areas I've ever been. You just couldn't ever get me to the Bay area again.
-
No mention of homeless camps, needles and poop on sidewalks, criminals operating without any fear of being prosecuted, and an insanely high cost of living?
-
Why Stanford? I keep seeing them get tossed around as possible additions, but I don't much value at all.
-
Notre Dame and Colorado would be my preference. Adding them as opposed to some others would keep some semblance of the B1G Midwestern identity I don't want to lose amidst all this expansion. Colorado would bridge the gigantic geographical gap between the LA schools and the rest of the B1G, while also adding a large media market. Plus, lots of CU grads live in California so the B1G would get extra exposure there. I've always wanted ND for basketball in the B1G. Selfishly because I live in the South Bend area so I'd be able to go to a lot of conference games here, but also because I want ND to finally accept they're a Midwestern school. They wish so bad they were on the East Coast with all the other stuffy elitists.
-
Imo the most sense would be Colorado and Notre Dame if we're trying to get to 18.
-
That means nothing.
