2022 NCAA Tournament / Bracket Reveal
AKHoosier replied to BlueDevil's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Honestly I won't have Purdue in the Sweet 16. They got a tough draw imo, I wouldn't be too thrilled with their road if i was them. -

Yeah, someone in the NCAA doesn't like IU or want us to be good. Time to start looking into who is on the committee haha. Is that loser Iowa AD on it? -

Wyoming will be a tough out, especially having to go out to Portland, but I agree. Our road isn't all that bad. -

Good lord. We're one of the last 2 teams in? So weak. -
UM is an 11?! Not liking this so far.

The committee is always just so unpredictable. Maybe it's because they truly do look at the entire body of work, whereas us fan have tunnel vision slanted towards the last week of games.

(2019) PF Trayce Jackson-Davis to INDIANA
AKHoosier replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
He's probably gone, but we're going to have really good momentum going into next season now. That can be a huge factor into these decisions. If his performance in the BTT and NCAAT plays himself into the first round of mock drafts, he might take a chance and bolt though. Still, I believe we are 1 or 2 pieces away from being a top 4 B1G team next year if he and Race return. -
Anyone find themselves rooting for Purdue today? I wouldn't be upset if they lost, but man after yesterday's episode of Fran wandering over to our bench I can't help but hope Iowa gets smacked down. I seriously can't let that go, that was so obnoxious of a coach to do that. I respect Painter 10x more than Fran McCaffery.

I hope we're not out west, but Alabama doesn't scare me at all. That one's a toss-up imo. Texas Tech, however, is our team on steroids. Not great offensively, but incredibly stingy on defense due to being very long and physical. I'd much prefer the majority of teams in our region to be the high-scoring variety rather than elite defensively.

BTT Game Thread: Indiana vs. Iowa 3/12 - 1 pm on CBS
AKHoosier replied to IUc2016's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I can't remember the last time I was this bummed after a loss. Really wanted this win today. Proud of the guys for how they fought these past few days with so much on the line. Also, f**k Fran Mccaffery, what in the world was that? Looked like a guy waltzing over to the other teams bench because he thinks he swings a bigger stick than he actually does. -
I've read this 4 times and I still don't know what it means.

I already hate Jon Scheyer. Just looks like the type of guy who wakes up on third thinking he hit a triple. Rant over.

This thread is more fun now. Seriously so great to be daydreaming about seeding scenarios again. I'd have to think an appearance in the title game would bump us up to a 10 at least.

Omg I'm so happy. It feels so weird to be this excited for iubb in March again!!

Seriously, I'm so happy for Trayce, Rob, and Race specifically. Those guys deserve to experience the tournament. -

Hell yes!!! What is this feeling I'm experiencing, 2 wins in the BTT?! -

You never know with these conference tournaments. Higher seeded teams lose all the time, it's happened plenty this season already. I can see why coaches would rather prioritize rest and recovery instead of playing for a higher seed. Man I hope we come out swinging today and advance to Saturday! -

Exactly. Don't think that B1G coaches aren't noticing this either. Negatively recruiting IU is going to be a lot easier now that Woodson has a year of game tape for the CBB world to see. Someone is probably reaching out to JHS right now asking "are you sure you want to go play behind Miller Kopp for a year?" -

Unfortunately, we just have a beta program. No one steps up and takes a game away from the other team when it's needed. There is no hope for us next year, either. Huge roster turnover means we'll be a bubble team next year too, and we'll be right back where we started. -

JHS is probably figuring out how he can opt out of his NLI right now. Why would a 5* guard sign up to be part of this inept offense? -

I wish I had seats right behind the Michigan bench today, I'd be heckling the sh1t out of him. He'd probably start swinging by the the under 16:00 media timeout. -
Mike Woodson and His Coaching Staff
AKHoosier replied to Hoosierfan1901's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I understand everything is cyclical, but you have your head in the sand if you don't realize the only B1G programs we're clearly ahead of at this point are Nebraska, Minnesota, Maryland, Penn State, and Northwestern. The rest have passed us by. We'll probably lose TJD and Race after this year, so how does it get better before it gets worse? Woodson is looking at a 4 year rebuild, which means he'll be well over 65 when we get back to respectability. Does he have the energy for that? Yeah I have my doubts to say the least. Admittedly I was off the bandwagon as soon as his hire was announced, but was encouraged with the Fife hire and Hunter/Rosemond on the bench. But now? A whole season is pretty much under his belt and the rest of the B1G knows how to negative recruit IU. They've seen his offense, and refusal to give major minutes to younger players. We're missing a hell of a lot of ingredients in the recipe for success. -
Where would I read about some of these rules..

Can't believe it's K's last home game tonight. End of an era. I wonder if he takes a few minutes to publicly thank the Nike bag men for helping resurrect his career?
