This. I'm definitely not a conference homer type of guy. The closest I would get to rooting for the B1G was Michigan when Beilein was there. Or in certain situations, like 2016 Wisconsin vs the 38-0 UK team. I enjoy early exits for most of our conference in hopes that will cause the conference front office to do something about the officiating.

Would the potential matchup with St. Mary's be on Thursday or Friday? I can't find tip times anywhere.

Honestly I won't have Purdue in the Sweet 16. They got a tough draw imo, I wouldn't be too thrilled with their road if i was them.

The committee is always just so unpredictable. Maybe it's because they truly do look at the entire body of work, whereas us fan have tunnel vision slanted towards the last week of games.

He's probably gone, but we're going to have really good momentum going into next season now. That can be a huge factor into these decisions. If his performance in the BTT and NCAAT plays himself into the first round of mock drafts, he might take a chance and bolt though. Still, I believe we are 1 or 2 pieces away from being a top 4 B1G team next year if he and Race return.

Anyone find themselves rooting for Purdue today? I wouldn't be upset if they lost, but man after yesterday's episode of Fran wandering over to our bench I can't help but hope Iowa gets smacked down. I seriously can't let that go, that was so obnoxious of a coach to do that. I respect Painter 10x more than Fran McCaffery.

I hope we're not out west, but Alabama doesn't scare me at all. That one's a toss-up imo. Texas Tech, however, is our team on steroids. Not great offensively, but incredibly stingy on defense due to being very long and physical. I'd much prefer the majority of teams in our region to be the high-scoring variety rather than elite defensively.

I can't remember the last time I was this bummed after a loss. Really wanted this win today. Proud of the guys for how they fought these past few days with so much on the line. You never know with these conference tournaments. Higher seeded teams lose all the time, it's happened plenty this season already. I can see why coaches would rather prioritize rest and recovery instead of playing for a higher seed. Man I hope we come out swinging today and advance to Saturday!
