Analysis: Where does Indiana Basketball go from here?
GloryDays replied to IndyHutch's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
My brother bought two pairs of tickets earlier in the fall. One set is to tonight's game and the other is the Minnesota game. I was totally pumped about it at the time. That was before this dismal start to the season. Now I'm still looking forward to going but its because anytime I walk into the hall I get goosebumps with all the history and remembrance of great games played there ,excitement in this teams prospects not so much. One good thing is Morehead St looks to have a good defensive team and it shouldn't be a blowout.I hope that's a good thing anyway!I'm really wondering what the atmosphere will be and what mood everyone will be in.I will cheer my team on and refuse to boo but I might not respond at all when the coach is introduced. -

Passion and pride are two major ingredients missing. After watching the Mich St - UL game and seeing both teams play with grit and determination I wanted to puke watching our game. -

Late in the game Zeisloft,on what was maybe the play you mentioned sagged to the post and left a shooter with a wide open 3.After the made shot he turned both ways looking for teammates then shrugged his shoulders and raised both arms in bewilderment .Absolutely no communication or rotation on defense This and constantly jumping passing lanes for the treasured deflection or steal instead of just staying in front of your man is hard to watch. Is this a result of a coach over thinking instead of just trying to teach basic defensive principles? Sure looks like it to me. -
Absolutely has to be the best post tonight.

Iowa with a nice inbounds play.Switched the inbounder.Win for the Big clinching the challenge.

That depends on the way this season plays out.I hope they all come back with a new staff.

The lack of defensive rebounding or any rebounding for that matter is whats killing us.Pathetic!

How have I never seen this.Laughed so hard spit my coffee up. That kid has to be Gay Marie's cousin.

Analysis; How about Thomas Bryant?

Considering Crean's playbook along with the analytic charts are 40'' or better that good enough for me. :) -
Josh should thrive in Crean's fast pace offense. After watching his prep highlights I really wonder why he chose Pitt's plodding style in the first place. If his Knee is healed I expect this kid to be a good one.

Your right' should have said fewer.I do think his court awareness and passing have improved dramatically. I think we'll miss him when he's gone. . -

Love to see a big guy, defender helplessly sealed on his hip waving his arms as he pounds palms together screaming for the ball. Whats even better is a team that's aware and makes a concerted effort to reward him.I saw that tonight for the first time in a long time and props go out to the players and coach for the focus. Also a little off topic but I agree with Seth Davis that IU with Williams initiating at the top of the key are really hard to defend. That may have been the most complete game I've seen Troy play. Very few of the bonehead plays. Go Hoosiers ,Beat Wake !!!
