  1.  I really think we have the pieces in place to be a very good team. Bryant adds inside presence and Yogi's going to want to go out a winner. This is a crucial season not just for CTC but for the programs status as well.Everyone involved has to know that. You would think that they'll play with a chip on their shoulder.I hope so anyway. i cant wait for the season to get here.Going to be a loooong summer. Go Hoosiers!
  2.   I really don't think so. Calipari had the most talented team to come along, maybe ever and was clearly out coached by Ryan. And I really think he is a better coach than Crean as much as it pains me to say. We never get the players he does so wheres that leave us?
  3.  Yogi should feed the post more this year. That is in my eyes is the weakest part of his game.   Holt has great hands and Thomas looks to be the same. There's no excuse  not to play thru the middle more with this squad.  Weaves and pounding the ball on the perimeter make us easy to guard in the half court sets.
  4.    It's a joke. I wasn't disagreeing with you.  After the Derby Classic, during an interview Thomas mispronounced focal at least 3 times thus the intentionally misspelled word. I guess if i have to explain it it wasn't funny.
  5. Crean promised Bryant he would be a vocal point!
  6.   Probably the most accurate post in this thread.I hope CTC can change his routine but after 20 years there's not much proof he will.  His strength is recruiting but even that area lacks focus and often times doesn't reflect roster needs.   I agree with Old Friends assessment of the approach as shotgun , but think the importance of locality may be overstated a bit. The 2016 class in Indiana is really not that strong so recruiting on a national level is needed.2017 is a totally different story.
  7.   I guess i should have worded my original post differently.I was thinking more in line with you and should have said we need to build consistency. So far its been everything but.
  8. I hope we have a good one this year and I believe we will.Last season was looking really good till the late season collapse. If that hadn't happened i would have considered it a great season. That cant happen again.
  9.   This staff is all over the 2017 class but so is everyone else. Its hard to compete with the Duke's, Mich St's and Lousvilles of the world when we can't put two good seasons together. The key is a good season with some consistency both on and of the court I feel that class will be make or break  for CTC.We need to win big ,keep kids in class and out of trouble and the recruiting will take care of it's self.  If not it could get ugly.
  10.  Can we say cash cow? Move along now, Nuthen to see here Gosh Dummit!
  11. He's a turd that knew! There's a knew turd in town.
  12. Hes a turd and he knew.
  13.  I don't understand why he's the forgotten one.The kid has skills and if we hadn't gotten Bryant he'd be the talk of the town. I'm telling you guys don't sleep on this one. He's long, athletic and loves to play around the rim.Plus he has a really nice jump shot. I see him as a Christan Watford type who can actually dunk. That's the epitome of a stretch four.
  14. & bigger & bigger. He's going to be a big strong man. There's some big dudes in that family.
  15. MSB's legs are so bright you have to wear shades.
  16.  If it did make it I could see it actually helping clean up the college game. Some kids just aren't cut out for school and the current system makes a mockery of collegiate athletics.
  17.   I think this just ups the pay scale a little. 600 large wont cut it anymore.  Anthony Davis's deal will look like bargain basement pricing now.
  18.   Now I guess we know why the Anthony Davis figure thrown around was at 600K. The cat fans are up in arms over this proposal because they're afraid it will level the playing field.   Option for one-and-doners?: A California-based group says it will offer 2015 McDonald’s All-Americans $700,000 to play for an independent pro team called the Las Vegas Dealers. The team owner says it will play 35 games in Las Vegas against European League teams and would also go on a 15-game tour of Europe. Team owner Cerruti Brown told Las Vegas FOX 5 TV that some current McDonald’s All-Americans are being contacted to sign up for the 2015-16 season, to begin in October. “We don’t see any problems in landing the right kids. Now, I’m not going to say we’ll have 10 of the top 25 kids this year, but I’m going to go on record as saying we’re going to have five,” Brown told the TV station. On the league’s Website (lvdbasket.com), it says McDonald’s All-Americans will earn $700,000, underclassmen with college eligibility $400,000 and free agents $100,000 for the upcoming season. “College is not for every young man that is trying to use basketball to provide a better situation for their families,” says owner Cerruti Brown. “Our innovative model targets the McDonald’s All-Americans who are projected first-round prospects by NBA scouts and general managers. This concept allows for the highly touted player to bypass college and immediately become a paid professional. We are able to offer competitive salaries averaging around $700k to the highly touted McDonald’s All-Americans who are typically ‘one and done’ players and $400k for college underclassmen. The Dealers’ niche will be based on giving basketball players a different option than what is presently offered in America. Before this, underclassmen had to either play college ball or go overseas. Venturing to Europe will not be a necessity when a U.S.-based organization will play top European teams.”http://www2.ljworld.com/news/2015/may/07/kansas-will-face-strong-schedule-15-16/?sports
  19. MSB's so badass that when he survives a harrowing ordeal, they call it death avoiding him...not the other way around.
  20.  I think TB will be more of a post up player than Payne. In these all star games a big is lucky to touch the ball and after hitting 3 long balls in Louisville I think he said what the hell at the Brand game. Its nice he can step out but I wouldn't think we would prioritize that part of his game needing help down low so desperately. But you never know.
  21.   I watched the Jordan Brand game and thought I was watching a Kentucky infomercial. Its unbelievable how many times Calipari and Ky came up in announcers conversations.  Quite the Sloberfest.  It was nice to see Victor being interviewed so we did get a little recognition there.
  22. Your right on Hanner but he actually does have a nice little jumper, just didn't get to see it much last year playing totally out of position. Actually Holt showed a nice 5 footer in high school as did Morgan along with a decent 3 point shot. None of those three are 5's and given the opportunity to play the 4 with the addition of TB one should emerge as a reliable scoring option.Morgan and Holt are natural rebounders and Hanner should be a great weak side rim protector.   I  love what Collin brings to the team but all three of those guys are better suited for that position. I really feel like Hartman should come off the bench as relief at the 4 ,3 and 2 for that matter when JBJ's having one of his off nights.
  23.    If CTC doesn't start one of Holt ,Perea or Morgan at the 4 beside TB he should go ahead and hire a real estate agent because he'll most likely be relocating. His midget ball doesn't work in this league.     It's crazy to think Z could run the point. Nearly every time he was trapped last year he coughed up the ball and he couldn't guard my mother.  But she's pretty quick for 84 so there's that.
  24.  He really has trouble guarding out on the floor. His lateral quickness is bad but could improve as he heals more from his leg injury's. As far as playing the 4, Holt is a very good offensive rebounder which we need out of that position. I really like Collin as a spark off the bench rather than a starter.
  25. You know who Bryant looks Like build wise? Derrick Coleman.  Suck it Orangemen!
