UM and Purdue----looks like a game between 2 average teams----and the team with the worst defense---UM---got beat.

Note to OP: Several posters here have done the same thing, not picking on you specifically.

It's weird. He's WAY more aggressive and shows way more confidence/passion in that video than we've ever seen at IU.granted it's a highlight video, but there's plays in there that are not from a "raw" player. He makes some catches in that video and some moves that we haven't seen in 2+ years at IU.

I think IU and Xavier should pay every year. It would be a good non-conference game

yes, Russell has all the ESPN coverage. But...i think that will change as we continue to win

I think Russell is getting all the attention too because OSU is one of the teams that ESPN loves to pump up. JBJ is a better scorer and a great rebounder plus I think his D is underrated.

I would take Steve shooting a jumper, but not as the Hoosier coach.

I don't know if it would have been a good "monster" though. The kids he was bringing in didn't seem to be strong in the character department. But it is amazing to go back and see how much success they had when you take into account the roster he had while he was here. But Eric Gordon continues to have injuries from carrying that team on his back during the whole year

I agree to the overall sentiment of this thread. Im getting tired of "fans" who are rooting against the team or Crean. If you like the team, support them. If you don't like the coach or someone on the team, don't watch. Its that simple. I hate that on this board if you support the team you are somehow supportive of mediocrity. Thats not how it is at all. Me, for example, Ive watched this team since I was a kid. I watched and supported IU under Knight, under Davis, under Sampson, and now under Crean. I will support the team no matter what. Yes I want them to do their best and to win championships and I want them to return to that elite status. So I keep rooting for them and keep supporting them
But yes Ive heard lots of "fans" who are basically rooting against our squad and against Crean. Its tiring and annoying at this point. I understand people don't agree with some of the players or Crean. I don't necessarily agree with everything Crean does but it gets to point I just support the team cause its something I enjoy. If you don't enjoy watching the team then you should just go do something else with your life. No need to ruin it for others

A few years back they asked Knight what his biggest regret was as a coach and he said not recruiting nationally was his biggest regret. He said he concentrated too much on the midwest and never too initiative to travel across the country too much to recruit. Interesting

Thats not all the kids, thats one player. I think the rest are pretty high on IU. Scruggs did say UK was his favorite team but has continued to take unofficial visits to IU even after he stated that. He is getting no love from UK so far.

I don't think that is 100 percent true. There are kids that want to come here one their own accord these days. Of course we still recruit hard but there are kids who want to be here and at other schools

That article I posted was from about 2 weeks ago and still says UCLA is after him. I've been searching too and nothing I've seen says that either school isnt after him. The closest to that is snoop saying USC can't bank on the fact that he's a fan.

I heard Purdue was going to copy us and wear a special commemorative championship jersey but they had to cancel their order.....

They can't replace those rails with glass soon enough. I wish they'd just go ahead and do that now.

Crean has been getting a lot of praise outside of Hoosier Nation for the job he has done with this team given its youth and lack of bigs inside.
