I think the staff thing has been explained. Frazier an ex Illinois player had no desire to come to IU and coach and Hansberry one of the players you would want just followed him to Virginia Tech since he brought him to West Virginia. Barnett a former IU player probably would have followed as an assistant however he got the head coaching job at Oral Roberts. Ostrum had already failed as an assistant at IU so probably smart to bring him along. Players was a mix bag. Powell went to North Carolina and plays some, Hansberry is solid at Tech however most of the rest went down a level

Sun Belt bracket is back. lol. 6 way tie for 2nd wrecked some havoc

Unbalanced schedules even in small conferences stink. Miami didn’t have to for to Akron and play. They better meet up in the MAC tourney because we deserve those teams playing. Akron only has 1 loss in conference and I think they are the better team
-
Miami up 1. 4 pt play after being down 5 coming out of a timeout. Under 2 min to go
-
Miami down 8 at the under 8 min time out
-
Should have been tossed.

Miami down 4 at half and Steele just lost his mind heading to the locker room. Got a T and might have gotten the second. Knocked something down

Yeah they would need to make a run in the conference tourney. In that case they would be 2-12 in Q1 games. Just not enough meat on the bone to justify them making it in. Their WAB is 49 right now so 2 more losses would drop that down even more. Now if you want to go full IU the last couple years watch them beat MSU and lose to Minny and win at OSU. lol. 10-10 in conference with 4 wins against tourney quality teams and a road win at a top 40 team. That would be interesting to see how that would play out -

Sparty winning at Purdue was the best outcome for IU moving forward. Since IU couldn’t find a way to get past Northwestern you would want Sparty coming in as high in the NET and B1G as possible. IU will have an opportunity to add a home win against a top 10 NET team -
Drink

Sparty looking for their first win at Purdue since 2014

Or whenever Renn fouls someone. You would be drunk in the first 3 min. Kid fouls every other play

Purdue by 3 at half

Here we are with IUs first must win game if they are not wanting to use Phase 3(Conference tourney) to build their resume to get selected. Inability to win home games against bottom of the bracket seeded team(Iowa ) and no tourney team(Northwestern) has made this game against (Sparty) a top of the bracket seeded team as a must have game. Also will need Minny and @Ohio St but need this first. Winning this would give them 4 wins against the projected field with 2 of those wins coming against protected seeds. Not sure how many bubble teams will be able to say that. Roll the dice and see how Sunday goes -
Smart just flat refused to use the portal at all. His mindset was build from within and only use high school kids. Sounds like they are changing their stance on the portal (shocker). During one of the games I was watching the sideline reporter was reporting that a total shift in how they recruited moving forward was going to change

Strong disagreement here. I hate watching IU in Dayton. That’s my stress free basketball vacation. Last time they were in Dayton I was far from stress free the whole day before the game. Even if IU isn’t in the First 4 I would highly recommend just going to enjoy the hoops -
Been that way for awhile. As far back as 87 power teams were getting in with under .500 records in conference. Ohio st a couple years ago go in with 8-12 conference record. IU that same year lost 12 of 13 games and finished 8-12 in conference as was 2nd team out of the tourney. I would make rather see the Indiana St team that got screwed 2 years ago then a mid power teams
-
Yeah that’s how it should be however they will go the route of whatever makes them the most money and unfortunately that means more middle of the pack mediocre power 5 teams. Thats the whole reason these commissioners from the power conferences want it to expand. More money

Just means Wisky won’t be a Q1 win. Would have been nice for IU if they got to Q1 but that win will stay Q2. Now with Oregon winning can they jump up enough to get to 75 and make our home win against them Q2? Don’t think they jump that much but if they string together some wins at the end then maybe -

Still on the bubble now. As always it’s a weak bubble. Rally and beat MSU and they are probably back in the last 4 byes. Expanding this field from 68 to whatever they are wanting will be a mistake. Most bracketologist scrubbed today and couldn’t add teams to take out IU or Auburn (15-13) or even Ohio st.

Him just playing at IU is lifetime memory. You could tell he and his family felt that way for the opportunity. Would playing in the tourney be icing on the cake for him? Yeah he deserves a tourney run
