Yeah I watched that video interview on field of 68 after dark. Seemed to me like a kid that had a hot game that said he felt if everything was going he felt his team could hang with anyone in the country and be top 10. Nothing burger for me but as you said only my opinion

That to me is just a player saying they can compete with anyone in the country. Hear it all the time. That to me is like when a top recruit goes to Vanderbilt and says one of the reason he went there was he felt they could win a national title.

Yeah. You hear me say it a lot. You have to field 68 teams. Looking at who is knocking on the door there just isn’t May teams as deserving to replace some of these teams. Auburn is 15-13 and still projected in the field. Cal has a big one tonight. IU can’t get out of its one way. They took the harder path. That harder path starts Sunday

The Wilkerson Journey episode is really really good. They usually go 3 stories for the episode but it was only Wilkerson and Dent. Don’t care how IU is playing after watching that I hope he finds a way to play in the tourney. Heck of a story

IUs inability to win home games against bottom of the bracket teams and non tourney teams continues to hold them back. Maybe one day they will figure it out

For the first time all year ius NET dropped below the 30s. They are 40 and even worse for WAB dropped to 48. That’s the bigger drop. You want your WAB to be 42 or better. Now a win against Sparty probably helps get back to the 40s but as of now they are trending down. More teams play their way out of the tourney as those who play themselves into it. Bottom of the bubble is always weak and with their opportunities left and the BTT chances they will still have a shot to get in however the frustrating thing for fans is all they have to do is take care of the teams they are suppose to and they would of been projected in with wiggle room. Not now. Earn it or try again next year

I didn’t say it would save him. Just pointed out if you want hope those coaches flipped their situation and made it a positive. DeVries will either figure it out or he won’t and we get to see if another coach can turn it around. Either way I’m here for the long haul whether they become a 1 seed or bubble team or a non tourney team.

If you want hope things can turn around quickly if done right. Dawkins was all but fired going into this year. Reports only had around 3.5 million total for a brand new roster. Flipped it and they are going to make the tourney. Gates made the tourney in his first year at Missouri and then went winless in conference play in his second year and has now bounced back and his on the verge of making the tourney 3 out of his first 4 years.

Late night hoops. BYU was down 35 at home to UCF. BYU ended up only losing by 13. UCF is firmly a tourney team. Probably locked it up with that win

If they won out(not likely) that would be enough to get them in without the BTT

Auburn is about to fall to 15-13 with a loss at Oklahoma. Still projected as a tourney team by most. They got 3 min to come back from a 10 pt deficit

That fake win at Baylor would come in handy about right now

Last year most on here turned their nose up at the thought of him coaching at Iu. I’ve always liked him as coach. Getting Northwestern to the tourney and winning games is a huge accomplishment. Maybe next time IU hires him

Just a harder path. They had an easier path right in front of them and got results today from other games that would have helped them if they would have won this game. Marquette blows out Georgetown on the road and they are going to shoot up the net tomorrow and be within the top 100 which would be a Q2 win. Only thing is northwestern winning will move them in the Q2 area. Win the next 3 (not likely) and you add 2 Q1 and 1 Q2 win and that will get them in. Every year I’m amazed this program continues to lose to Northwestern. Not sure if their seniors have lost to IU

I know for 9 years now IU has been on the bubble 4 or 5 years either last 4 in or first 4 out. To me that is middle of the pack. B1G wise they have gone .500 or a game or 2 under more times then not putting them in the middle of the pack Never at the top and never at the very bottom

Actually im 100% IU basketball fan and 100% cbb fan. I can just separate the 2 when IU is a middle of the pack mid program and still enjoy the rest of college basketball when they are. I still suffer with every game like the rest here. It is what it is
