  1. Auburn is about to fall to 15-13 with a loss at Oklahoma. Still projected as a tourney team by most. They got 3 min to come back from a 10 pt deficit
  2. That fake win at Baylor would come in handy about right now
  3. Last year most on here turned their nose up at the thought of him coaching at Iu. I’ve always liked him as coach. Getting Northwestern to the tourney and winning games is a huge accomplishment. Maybe next time IU hires him
  4. Just a harder path. They had an easier path right in front of them and got results today from other games that would have helped them if they would have won this game. Marquette blows out Georgetown on the road and they are going to shoot up the net tomorrow and be within the top 100 which would be a Q2 win. Only thing is northwestern winning will move them in the Q2 area. Win the next 3 (not likely) and you add 2 Q1 and 1 Q2 win and that will get them in. Every year I’m amazed this program continues to lose to Northwestern. Not sure if their seniors have lost to IU
  5. I know for 9 years now IU has been on the bubble 4 or 5 years either last 4 in or first 4 out. To me that is middle of the pack. B1G wise they have gone .500 or a game or 2 under more times then not putting them in the middle of the pack Never at the top and never at the very bottom
  6. Actually im 100% IU basketball fan and 100% cbb fan. I can just separate the 2 when IU is a middle of the pack mid program and still enjoy the rest of college basketball when they are. I still suffer with every game like the rest here. It is what it is
  7. The program you are invested in is a mediocre program for basketball. It is what it is
  8. Results wise IU is exactly closer to Kansas St then they are Kansas except Kansas St has actually had been to a couple Elite 8s in the last 20 years. Fans can dream all they want that all they need is money to get this program where they think that it can be. people can sunshine pump all they want that it’s an easy fix but it’s not. IU is a mid program. Maybe string together 2 consecutive winning conference records and then maybe they can turn the corner. Results say that isn’t going to happen. Mid
  9. You shouldn’t you are invested in a middle of the pack mediocre program that has shown you what it’s become over 20 + years.
  10. Looks like IU chose the hard way. Probably gained a Q2 win with Marquettes win but are going to add a Q2 loss after tomorrow. As usual I lay out the path that’s still in front of them but it’s a very difficult path. Program people on this board is invested in just lost 6 straight games to Northwestern and now 4 home games in a row. That’s as middle of the pack mediocre as you can get as a program. Until they can beat northwestern on a regular basis I would pump the brakes on this program competing anywhere near the top. Don’t care how much NIL you think they have. You are invested in a mid program
  11. Oklahoma St kid just hurt is knee with 5 sec left in OT dunking when they were up 5. That is brutal
  12. They are last 4 in on some respected bracketologist projections however there are others that have them a couple spots before they last 5 in. CBS had them 5th team out which is a ridiculous stance at this point. Kind of unlucky they are in this spot because their predictive metrics are solid. The fact that 2 of their power 4 non conference teams decided to really go downhill this year is holding the results based metrics down. Any other year and a neutral court win against Marquette and a home win is going to give you at least 2 Q2 wins however this year as things stand those are Q3. If those were Q2 games then IU would be an 8 or 9 seed right now.
  13. Tuesdays slate is loaded as usual with plenty of impact games. Can Cincy continue its hot streak and win on the road at a Toppinless Texas Tech. Does ucla hold home court over USC. Can Marquette get a road win at Georgetown and improve their NET, can Missouri win a home game against Tenn. does Miami (oh) stay undefeated after their road game at E Michigan. We get to find out tonight
  14. None are a must win until you run out of opportunities for me. So technically it’s not a must win but they would make life easier winning it. Here’s the thing if they lose then Northwestern would jump below 75 so the loss would be Q2. If they won out the rest of the way they would add 2 Q1( one of the road to a bubble team) 1 Q2 so definitely could lose this game and still make it but I wouldn’t recommend that path
  15. So far they are 0-7 in their 7 hardest game by the NET. With all their tourney quality wins coming at home (Nc State, SMU and Kentucky) besides their neutral court win over IU which is a bottom of the bracket team this year.
  16. He gets it. Leading a program like IU you don’t distance yourself from the fans or at least the students. Self did the same thing after the Cincy game. After they lost he went over to the student section and gave them a speech about how they needed them Monday night.
  17. Probably got in before the storm. Big East is moving this game to Wednesday
  18. Maybe but just shows where the program DeVries took over is at currently. I don’t care who the coach of IU is going 3-7 in a 10 game span where those wins were 1 in 2OT, 2 pt win and 4 pt win is ridiculous. Hopefully he starts a new winning streak
  19. IU has lost 5 straight to northwestern and are 3-7 in the last 10.
