  2. The 16th annual Kevin Brown Memorial Tournament of Champions will be held Nov. 23-27, in Washington, IL. In 2019, over 20 teams participated with most playing 4-games over the 5-day event. Invite list is subdivided into 3 categories: Washington Invitational, National Classic and TofC. The list of this year's participating schools is slowly being released and thus far here are some of the names with some degree of IU interest who will be there. 7. Absolutely correct. Hoping @Mike Schumann is digging into this one and will come up with more details. (Hint, hint!)
  8. Found some stats for the elusive Mr. Powell. He played AAU for JL3 on the EYBL circuit in July. For the games he played from 7/13 thru the 7/19, he played on the 15U team. He moved up to the 17U team for the actual Peach Jam Tournament finale. Aaron Powell '24 - (PG) JL3 Has IU Offer Date W/L Pts. FGM FGA FTM FTA 3PM 3PA Reb Assts. TO's Stls. Blks. 9. An Iowa website but we do get mentioned. https://iowa.rivals.com/news/koch-trying-to-keep-his-options-open
  10. Hosting Jackson State as a part of Indiana’s exempt multi-team event next season that will also include games against Marshall and Louisiana Lafayette, per Jeff Goodman. Jackson State finished last season 12-6 and No. 265 in the KenPom ratings. The Tigers are ranked No. 186 nationally in Bart Torvik’s ratings for next season. https://www.insidethehall.com/2021/08/09/indiana-to-host-jackson-state-as-part-of-non-conference-schedule/
  11. From a Louisville website but we're definitely in the hunt. “So far, Louisville is recruiting me the hardest”, he said. “Indiana is right there too, not far behind at all. Tennessee and Texas AM are also in the mix.” https://cardinalsportszone.com/2021/08/09/csz-exclusive-interview-2023-standout-kaleb-glenn/
  12. Seems like we're trying to stay ahead of the curve on this whole N-I-L concept putting out a directory of how to contact our athletes. 14. JaQualon Roberts of Bloomington North HS. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-class-of-2023-names-to-know-in-state-forward-jq-roberts/
  15. Not sure how this offer slipped through the cracks but this young man received an offer back on July 20. Haven't found a great deal of info about him. Powell is listed as a 6'1" PG attending Campbell Hall HS in Studio City, CA. (or Pasadena, CA as I've also found it listed.) https://www.btpowerhouse.com/2021/7/22/22587951/indiana-offers-2024-basketball-recruiting-247-stats-depth-chart-point-guard-aaron-powell 247 Hudl
  16. Gabe Grant listed as a 6-foot-10 center in the 2024 class on the 247Sports Web site. He is a freshman at the McDonogh School in Owings Mills, Md. The link is to a 2-month old Syracuse basketball website but indicates we'd been looking at him. https://insidetheloudhouse.com/2021/05/25/syracuse-basketball-blue-bloods-inquiring-big-man-gabe-grant/
  17. Apparently committed in May but she's been a well-kept secret until today and Jeremy Price's tweet -- ICYMI, like I did, Indiana got a commitment from 6-foot-1 Mona Zaric of Serbia back in May. She’s signed and due to arrive in Bloomington soon to join preseason workouts. YouTube Clip The following is a miscellaneous collection of stats. 19. More on Jobe from TheDailyHoosier. His grandfather played high school ball in Indiana for Milton High School in Wayne Co. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-hoosiers-offer-class-of-2024-forward-william-jobe/?fbclid=IwAR3joAxy4oxlIYDW-VLqc6DclHSiATmwXZYduzzmDXnHvSCIfVPjFyjzttc
  20. Busy day with '24 offers. 6'9" William Jobe attends Frederica Academy in St. Simons Island, GA. Played AAU for Team Dickerson 15U on the Indie circuit. This is Noah Clowney's AAU affiliation as well. Haven't found a whole lot of info on him. OnTheRadarHoops from last October -- We had an opportunity to see Jobe last year on our middle school circuit, OTR Battleground. Jobe continues to get better each time we see him. This 6-foot-7 forward is mobile with good hands and feet. He has a soft shooting touch facing the basket and he can score around the basket with either hand. He can put the ball on the floor a couple of times and also seems to have a passing instinct as well. Rivals Hudl

  22. Per his AAU team, 6'8" Koch was offered today. He attends Peoria Notre Dame HS in Peoria, IL. Maybe we can get a little unofficial help from A. J. Guyton on Koch. 247 Rivals https://www.pjstar.com/story/sports/2020/12/16/peoria-notre-dame-freshmen-prepared-by-famous-fathers/3888792001/ From a Wisky website 2 days ago: 2024 wing Cooper Koch (Peoria, Ill.) out of Peoria Notre Dame is the latest prospect to receive an offer from the Badgers and Greg Gard. He is currently unranked by all of the recruiting service, but that’s normal for players from a class that isn’t close to enrolling in college. Koch already has offers from Bradley, Iowa, Wake Forest and Western Illinois to go along with his Badgers offer. Rivals notes that Illinois and Purdue are showing interest too. Standing at 6-foot-7 and weighing a bit over 200 pounds, Koch already has good size for a rising sophomore. His father, J.R., is 6-foot-10 and played basketball at Iowa before having a six-year career overseas, so there is probably still room for some growth. The older Koch was a teammate of current Wisconsin assistant coach Dean Oliver while in Iowa City which should help the Badgers develop a good relationship.
  23. Let's hope Woody's comments about Phinisee all are proven on the court. https://iuhoosiers.com/news/2021/8/7/mens-basketball-bahama-bound-rob-phinisee-set-to-play-his-game.aspx
  24. Sparty lands 4-star PG Tre Holloman from Minneapolis. This one was confusing. He indicated some time back we'd offered but he never heard from the new staff after Woody was hired. But I don't ever recall seeing any evidence that Archie offered from the usual multitude of sources that race each other to get the news of an IU offer made public.
