I'm late. I'm late. Live Stats IUWS (9-2-3) (3-1-2) currently playing Penn State (8-5-0) (2-4-0) on ESPNU. Match started at 7:00. 16 min. remaining in first half with no score. The Indiana women's soccer team (9-2-3) will travel to Penn State for a match on Wednesday Oct. 13 at 7pm and play at Maryland on Sunday Oct. 17 at 1pm. The match against Penn State will be televised on ESPNU. SCOUTING THE NITTANY LIONS Penn State was ranked as high as No. 12 in the country but got off to a slow start in Big Ten play with three defeats. Most recently Penn State beat Maryland 5-1 on Friday to improve to 2-4 in conference play. SCOUTING THE TERRAPINS Maryland has a 4-6-4 overall record and 0-4-2 mark in Big Ten matches. Most recently the Terrapins lost 5-1 against Penn State. The Hoosiers are 3-1-3 all-time against Maryland with the last match being played on March 7 and the Hoosiers winning 3-2. KEEPING OPPONENTS OFF THE BOARD The Hoosiers have only allowed five goals in 14 matches this season. Indiana ranks third in the country in goals against average. The Hoosiers have a 23-5 advantage in goals over opponents this season. WEBBER, GERSTENBERG EARN BIG TEN HONORS Paige Webber earned Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week and Jamie Gerstenberg earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week on Sept. 14. Webber got a hat trick against Murray State and added an assist in the Hoosiers win at Kansas State. Gerstenberg has three straight shutouts and six shutouts on the season. GERSTENBERG SHUTING OUT THE COMPETITION Indiana goalkeeper Jamie Gerstenberg ranks third in the NCAA in shutouts with eight this season. Gerstenberg is one away from matching the Hoosiers program record for shutouts in a season. OFFENSIVE EXPLOSION Against Southeast Missouri State on Sunday the Hoosiers scored six goals, their most in a match since the 2011 season. Quick background from Mike Schumann and TheDailyHoosier on Tucker. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-hoosiers-offer-2024-wing-bryson-tucker/ From Travis Branham back in June following a DMV Live II event. Also references Khani Rooths who we may hear more of in the future. Khani Rooths and Bryson Tucker showdown in a high major 2024 matchup Beginning the day was a high level 2024 matchup between Khani Rooths and Bryson Tucker in front of over a dozen coaches in the back gym of DeMatha - both prospects to begin familiarizing yourself with as they will be high major targets. Starting with Rooths, he stands 6-foot-7 with wide shoulders, long arms and a lean frame. Like most prospects his age, his frame has yet to fill out but that didn't stop him from showcasing his defensive ability against a skilled scorer in Bryson Tucker. The two took on the challenge and Rooths not only showed his ability to defend at a high level but he also rebounded and displayed upside as a scorer on the offensive end. He scored in the post, mid-range and connected on a three off the catch. He has a high floor as a versatile defender, positional rebounder and has upside as a versatile tool on the offensive end. On Tucker, he is a sizey and long wing at this stage who can really score the basketball. Tucker has an advanced scoring package for a prospect his age, especially from the mid-range. He has an array of one- and two- dribble pull-ups, step-backs and even turnaround fade-aways out of the mid-post. Tucker is a skilled scorer who can make tough shots and comes with pedigree as his father played at NC State and overseas.

Jamie Shaw of Rivals reporting an IU offer to Bryson Tucker a 6'6" SF who attends Mount Saint Joseph HS in Baltimore, MD. The '24 class isn't ranked by either 247 or Rivals and there's just not much out there on him. No stats on MaxPreps and and an inactive Hudl account. He was selected for the USA U16 National Team that recently competed in the FIBA 2021 Americas Championship and averaged 9.5 ppg. and 4.3 rpg. @BrysonTucker3_

Fully agree with both posts. Personally I'm not a fan of HH but I'm certainly a fan of doing all we can to hype our bball program. From the numerous tweets put forth by current members of the men's and women's program, they are fully on board with this event and I suspect there's going to be a lot more to it than has been announced to date.

Seen indications Grace Waggoner has been placed on scholarship having previously been a preferred walk-on. -
Since HH was far from a sellout, I would expect they want this event to be an absolute splash and from the quote below, I'm thinking Cuban is underwriting it in a fairly substantial manner. I'm betting the tickets will be very reasonable and family friendly. “Obviously, I love Indiana University and I fully support NIL opportunities for student athletes,” Mark Cuban said. “Partnering with The Hoosier Hysterics NIL Collective and G3 to bring this event to Hoosier Nation is a perfect way to show my support for the players and the greater IU community.”

Effective with the start of the upcoming season. The IHSAA has adopted a mercy rule for basketball beginning with the upcoming season. It is similar to the football mercy rule, as far as the point spread. It will be used beginning in the second half of games. IHSAA BASKETBALL “MERCY RULE” PROCEDURES Basketball Mercy Rule is in effect at all levels of play and in the IHSAA tournament (Except for the State Finals), a running clock will be initiated after the first half when one team has a lead of thirty-five (35) points or more. Once the running clock begins, regular timing procedures will not be used for the remainder of the game. The Game Clock will run continuously except for the following situations when it will be stopped: An official’s time-out for an injured participant. A charged (team) time-out occurs. Intermission between third and fourth quarter. Anytime a foul is called that will result in free throws. Anytime officials determine it is necessary for safety reasons. This rule will take effect with the upcoming 2021-22 boys and girls basketball seasons. -
He's had an injury plagued high school career I and wonder how his body will withstand the rigors of college ball. We may have dodged a bullet on this one but I do feel badly for him and the injuries he's dealt with.

TJD, Race, Kopp, Mackenzie Holmes and Ali Patberg have also all tweeted references to the announcement mostly using emojis although this was from TJD.
