  1. Lost to Indpls. Pike 73 - 68, but Langford had 28 points and 11  rebounds.
  2. McCutcheon defeated Kokomo 75 - 41 led by Phinisee's 31 points.
  3. Defense?  We don't need no stinking defense!  We got shooters!
  4. WHEW!   Ladies pull it out 65 - 56 led by Cahill and Gassion both with double - doubles in points and rebounds and Buss with 21 pts.  Terrific job on the boards with 19 offensive rebounds but their field goal shooting was abysmal.  No one shot the ball well from the floor but as a team they were deadly on their free throws making 23 of 27.
  5. OVERTIME     Tied at 52.    Ugly 4th quarter as both teams went for over 4 minutes without scoring a single point.  We're only shooting 30% from the field and only 1 of 14 on 3's.   Making 19 of 22 free throws is the only thing that's kept us in the game.
  6. Strange 3rd quarter, but at the end of 3, the Lady Hoosiers have taken the lead at 46 - 45.  They were down by 11 at one point and shooting horribly from the field but have made 16 of 18 free throws.  Midway through the 3rd they started full court pressing and forced several turnovers that resulted in IU taking the lead towards the end of the quarter..
  7. Struggling against Samford and trail 30 - 24 at halftime.  Only shooting 31% from the floor and 0 for 10 from 3 pt. land.  Samford shooting 48% from the field and 1 of 11 on 3's.
  8. Slow start for the ladies.  Trail 20 - 14 at the end of the 1st quarter.
  9. Game televised on Big Ten Plus; radio coverage at http://mgmt.firststreaming.com/listen/player.php?callsign=WHCC_FM   After tonight the ladies become road warriors with 10 of their next 14 games away from AH.
  10.   Seeing tweets that Dakich's kid will burn his planned redshirt year in light of Albrecht's decision.
  11. On 12/6 he dropped in 28 points on 2 FG's and 8-3's; 10 rebounds.   Last night (Post #8) he scored 31 on 6 FG's and 6-3's; 10 rebounds.   Couldn't find an shooting % data.

  13.   I don't think many of you fully understand the importance of 'deflections' (not to be confused with 'defections') to our team.   One definition I found for the word 'deflection' is:  "a turning aside or deviation from a straight line."   Therefore, if JBJ steps aside so his man can make a straight drive to the bucket, JBJ has 'turned aside' and is therefore credited with a deflection.  Or, if Troy holds his position and his man drives around Troy while Troy is yelling "ole", Troy too is credited with a deflection because he caused his man to deviate from a straight line to the bucket.  Keep this is mind the next time you hear number of deflections being lauded in a post-game interview.
  14.   Hard for me to see him making a move anywhere east of the Mississippi but I also would never have expected Shaka Smart to move from VCU to Texas.   Interesting name, but we should be able to do better.
  15. Article in today's edition of USA Today captioned Big Bonuses in Play for Many Assistant Coaches. http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2015/12/10/assistant-coaches-bonuses-college-football-salaries/77099366/   Within the article is another link to a table of assistant coach salaries and in the far right column the aggregate amount of dollars paid to assistants.  http://sports.usatoday.com/ncaa/salaries/football/assistant
  16. Love to see a stat for how many times once the ball crossed mid-court that there was only 1 or no passes before somebody jacked it up.
  17. Niego with 3 rebounds in 11 min.  Bryant with 2 rebounds in 18 min.  What's wrong with this picture?
  18. 17 TO's against this level of competition.  Unbelievable how careless we are with the ball, game in and game out.
  19. We'll win this game, but it's hardly been a dominating performance - it should have already reached blowout stage - and a further indicator that we are going to struggle mightily in B1G play.
  20. We committed 10 TO's in the first half which led to 12 points for IPFW.  In contrast, PUke is playing Howard and did not commit it's first TO until 2 min. into the 2nd half.
  21. Jeremy Price tweeted that it looks like his feet are stuck in cement.
  22. Seeing from multiple tweeters about the lack of energy and intensity from both the crowd and the team.  One commented there was more intensity from 2 players at the end  of the IPFW bench than there was in the building.
