  3. From an outsider's point of view his recruiting just seems to be so random and unfocused.
  4. Jake Forrester, 6'8", a class of 2018 PF from the Westtown School/PSA Cardinals (NY), just picked up an offer from Indiana. 247 ESPN
  5. Thunder guard Victor Oladipo suffers sprained wrist in hard fall OKLAHOMA CITY -- Thunder guard Victor Oladipo was ruled out to return with a sprained right wrist against the Boston Celtics after taking a hard fall and landing on his upper back and neck area near the Oklahoma City bench. Oladipo went to contest a corner 3 by Jonas Jerebko late in the first quarter, but as Jerebko pump-faked and put the ball on the floor, Oladipo's foot caught his shoulder, flipping the Thunder guard over and onto his back. He remained down by the Thunder bench for a number of minutes before sitting up and eventually walking back to the locker room under his own power. He underwent concussion protocol in the locker room and was cleared in that regard. The Thunder play on Tuesday against the Portland Trail Blazers, and Oladipo's availability is uncertain. Guard Anthony Morrow started the second half in place of Oladipo against the Celtics. Oladipo, 24, is the Thunder's second-leading scorer, averaging 16.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 23 games this season.

  8. TOUCHDOWN!! Coleman with a 6-yard reception! His 8th TD of the season, 9th of his career.
  9. Bears (3-10) lose another one, this time to the Lions 20-17. Howard with 86 yds. on 13 carries; longest run of 31 yds.; no TD's. 2 receptions for 24 yds., targeted 5 times. Jordan now has 883 rushing yards for the season. Tracy Porter with 3 solo tackles.
  10. I confuse everyone by posting an incorrect start time and then I miss the whole game because of a civic obligation! :-( Looking solely at the final stats, it looks like CTM should be in a better post-game mood today. Ladies win 87-58 led by Gassion with 19, Cahill 16, Buss 12 and Elbert with 10 off the bench. Cahill another double-double with 11 rebounds followed by Foresman off the bench with 6. They shot the ball well and controlled the backboard and only committed 13 TO's. They had 13 steals and scored 25 pts. off Valpo TO's. In this game, the bench contributed 32 of our 87 pts. and 16 of our 39 total rebounds. Next up is Oakland at Assembly Hall on Saturday the 17th. Yes, I'd say CTM is in a better mood from this post-game quote: "Great teams want to be coached, and average teams don't like to hear the truth. I like to consider ourselves a great team"
  11. CORRECTION. Apparently this is a 2:00 tipoff and not a 7:00. However, in my defense, IUHoosiers.com is where I picked up the 7:00 time.
  12. 2 Louisville football players reportedly shot at off-campus party Saturday night LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two University of Louisville football players were reportedly shot Saturday night at an off-campus apartment. Sources close to the team tell WDRB News that junior linebacker James Hearns and sophomore linebacker Henry Famurewa were both shot at a party at an apartment near the university. Neither of the victim's injuries appear to be life-threatening. There was a third victim also shot, but that person's name is still unknown. This story will be updated.
  13. Lady Hoosiers (6-3) entertain Valpo (4-4) at Assembly Hall. BUSS CAN CLIMB THE BOOKSBuss can continue to put her mark on the IU record books as she sits in reaching distance of a few categories. She continues to stand at No. 18 on the all-time scoring list with 1,165 points, just four points shy of moving into 17th (Linda Cunningham, 1,169) and eight points from 16th (Zan Jefferies, 1,173). She is also just nine steals and 10 assists away from reaching the top 10 on both respective career lists. 46 AND COUNTING Buss continues to reach new scoring heights as she extended her double-figure scoring streak to 46 games, with a double-double (14 points, 10 assists) on Thursday night against Northern Kentucky. She extended her streak - which dates back to her freshman season - and marks the 64th overall game she's reached double figures - out of the 73 games played in her career. The current IU record stands at 49 consecutive double figure scoring games and is held by Karna Abram who did it between 1985-86 and 1986-87. Background Stuff Game Notes Stats - Live Radio TV: BTN2Go

  15. INDIANAPOLIS — Don't let Amy Dilk's two-basket, 10-point performance Saturday fool you. Sure, it was well below her season average (17.0), but the Carmel senior's complete effort, which produced a triple-double, led the Greyhounds to a 63-47 win over Center Grove at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. “I honestly didn’t know I had a triple-double until the end of the game,” said Dilk, who also had 12 assists and 12 rebounds. “We don’t care about who scores the points as we’re all capable of scoring.”
  16. CRAWFORDSVILLE – Just how good is Class 4A No. 5 McCutcheon without its all-everything guard Robert Phinisee? Answer: pretty darn good. Eddy Collins poured in a career-high 33 points to lead the Mavericks to a 108-39 domination of North Montgomery on Saturday night. Phinisee did not play after suffering a thigh bruise in a victory at Kokomo on Friday night.
  17. My understanding could be completely wrong so if so I hope other posters will correct me. I believe that when Brooklyn waived him and he cleared the waiver wire, his ties to Brooklyn were completely severed. Although he rejoined the LI Nets in D-League, if some other team wants to sign him they are free to do so and oftentimes it's a 10-day contract to fill-in for an injured player. I'm afraid Yogi is going to have to really sparkle in D-League if he wants to make it back to the big show on a permanent basis.
  18. In a head-to-head meeting of IU targets Keion Brooks of FW North and Kevin Easley of Lawrence North, FW North came out the winner 96-82. Keion Brooks with 33 points; Kevin Easley with 23 points. When Brooks was at 30 points, it was on 11 of 16 from the field.
