  1. If UNC gets off you can bet the ranch that Dukie is untouchable.
  2. My daughter's father-in-law, a widower, is dating a woman from Greencastle. When I was introduced to her I asked her if she knew the Neese family and Cooper's basketball exploits. Her eyes glazed over; she had absolutely no idea what I was talking about. I pulled John off to the side and told him to dump her as quickly as he could. LOL
  3. Way too early in the recruiting but I do think it's an uphill battle for us.
  4. IU vs Butler - without OG, I'm worried. With OG, I'm less worried. I'll be sitting in the Butler section with my Butler grad daughter and her Butler grad husband. This game is all about family bragging rights for the next 12 months!
  5. After Brooklyn sent Yogi down to the D-League, they turned around and called him back up although he did not play in last night's game. 12.03.16 Season W/L W/L Min. Pts. 6. Whatever is behind the 'resignation' it's got to be a lot more than the small leaks we've gotten thus far. We just beat PUke for the 4th year in a row and we're going to a bowl for the 2nd year in a row. Why not leave him in charge and wait until after the bowl game? I think it's because there is so much more that FG's investigation uncovered and the 'resignation' just couldn't wait. We're going to learn more in the next several weeks as more info gets leaked.
  7. New Albany 65, Evansville Harrison 55. R. Langford 24 pts,
  8. In the championship game of the JC Online Classic Twin Lakes upset McCutcheon 52-50. Phinisee with 16 pts, 13 coming in the second half in a losing effort.
  9. From Rabjohns: Indiana signee @aldurham01 15 points, but Berkmar fell 66-52 to powerhouse Pebblebrook.
  10. Keion Brooks 18 pts. as FW North Side defeats Indpls. Cathedral 68-62. Or, a different report that Brooks with 19 pts. and 5 reb. in a 68-52 win.
  11. Iowa loses at home to Omaha 98-89 and their record is now 3-5. Matt Painter said Spike Albrecht out "indefinitely" with back injury. Don't think PUke is going to get anywhere near the help from Albrecht that we got from Max B.
  12. Psst; hey Yogi! Do you mean Langford?

  15. The Jaguars have promoted WR Shane Wynn to the 53-man active roster & placed WR Rashad Greene (Achilles) on the reserve/injured list.
  16. Totally agree and as you stated, from outward appearances there is definite mutual interest. Strictly from Phinisee's standpoint he can plainly see we don't have a true PG on this year's team and we don't have one committed for '17 so as it stands today, he can come in '18 and get the keys to the car from day one. I certainly hope that happens.
  17. Don't let this first post be your last. Join in all the fun that is btb!

  23. Former Bishop Luers standout Sydney Curry now at Horizon Christian Sophomore left Bishop Luers earlier this month, debuted for Jaguars on Friday Night By Dan Vance, dvance@news-sentinel.com Tuesday, November 22, 2016 1:30 AM Sydney Curry, a high ranking prospect in the Class of 2019, has found a new home at Horizon Christian Academy in Fort Wayne new coach Anthony Beasley confirmed Monday. As a freshman, Curry averaged 11.3 points and nine rebounds per game a year ago at Bishop Luers. Curry left Bishop Luers at the beginning of November without official confirmation of the reasoning. "We believe in shaping kids and developing character, so why would I tell him he couldn't have the same opportunity?," said Beasley, who is also an administrator at the school. Curry played his first games with the Jaguars last Friday and Saturday. Curry scored 24 points and had 15 rebounds against Colonial Christian on Friday night in his debut. On Saturday, Curry shot 21-of-24 from the field for a game high 42 points against Heritage Hall Christian while also grabbing 15 rebounds. "Sydney is one of the most advanced high school players I have ever seen with his footwork. What he can do already, this kid is special," said Beasley. "After Friday night, I knew he was something special and Saturday he took it to another level. If we can help him mature from where he is now to his maximum capability, it is going to be an interesting journey." During the summer, the 6-foot-7, 235 pound Curry plays AAU for Indiana Elite and has a lot of interest from Division I colleges including Indiana, Purdue, Michigan State and Xavier. Rivals.com lists Curry as receiving offers from Bradley and IUPUI. Curry is not the only transfer that the Jaguars add to their roster this season. Junior Coleone Davis, who played at Horizon Christian as a freshman and South Side as a sophomore, has returned to the school. The Jaguars have also added Daquan and Taquan Sample, formerly of North Side. "He felt comfortable that he would be able to come here and blend in and they willingly accepted him as a person. At the end of the day, our first option is how can we help these kids as people. We don't invite problems when we already have a program that is working," said Beasley. Horizon Christian will visit Curry's former school, Bishop Luers, on December 13.
