#IUWBB vs Ohio State
Class of '66 Old Fart replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Women's Basketball
Had to go on the road and missed the last half of the men's game (mercifully) and all of the Lady Hoosiers game. Disappointed but not entirely surprised. OSU has a very good team and after we had a couple of hot shooting games, today shots wouldn't fall coupled with getting pounded on the boards and our home winning streak is over. At least the ladies streak ended at the hands of a quality opponent unlike the men. Just start a new home winning streak on Wednesday against Minny. -

Hope our Lady Hoosiers can show the men how to protect home court. 20 IN A ROW Indiana will put one of the nation's best home streaks on the line on Saturday when it welcomes No. 14/13 Ohio State. The 20-straight wins are also the sixth longest active streak in the NCAA as IU has put together a 6-0 record inside Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall this season. SEVEN STRAIGHT Heading into Saturday's Big Ten matchup, the Hoosiers are riding a seven-game win streak - the longest since the 2013-14 season when IU won 14 in a row. -

Class of '66 Old Fart replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
In the championship game of the Cities Securities Hall of Fame Classic, New Albany handed Logansport its first loss of the season by a score of 58-33. New Albany held Logansport scoreless in the 3rd Q to take a 20 point lead into the 4th Q. Langford put on a good show of just how good he is not just in scoring but also with his rebounding especially on the offensive glass. Langford finished with 20 pts. and 11 reb. and was named tournament MVP. It wasn't his best shooting night as he was only 8-19 FG's and 0-6 on 3's. As a team, New Albany was only 1-22 on 3's for the game and still won by 25 pts, scoring 42 of their 58 points in the paint. -

I don't think Stevens ever returns to coaching. When he wants to quit coaching the Celts, he's done coaching period. He'll be a GM somewhere in the NBA (maybe Ainge's job) or possibly an AD at a major university. I don't believe he has any desire to get back into the recruiting wars of college basketball.

Holtman would be a more realistic 'get' than Stevens and I wouldn't be upset at all. I don't get a real warm and fuzzy with many of the names Yogi threw out a couple of posts up but it doesn't really matter because CTC ain't going anywhere unless there's a total program collapse on another round of off-court issues. Always fun to speculate and throw out what ifs. It's what we do best!
