haha whoa now gents. i, along with the rest of the Cleeter family, do not condone nor want to be associated with Kentucky in any form. Our motto is "you can pick and root for any team you want but it CANNOT be UK"

There is also a disclaimer in there saying that if you chose Purdue, you may or may not be ridiculed forever and you will not have a Christmas or birthday that you will probably be happy about haha

Well after looking it up. I guess i over-exaggerated.
16-29 with 2 point loss at ILL
18-25 with 3 point loss to MSU
10-17 with 7 point loss to Purd....
16-26 with 10 point loss to Duke

I wish there was a way to see how many of those misses were the front end of a 1-and-1 because say there was 3 times we missed a front end, that could cost us 6 points. And in all those games, that would made it all very different. So I’d say they only cost us in 2 but perhaps more.

I think my hatred for miss FT’s and missed 1-and-1 May blur my thoughts haha

And i am stoked that a "positive IU list" is that long because they haven't had much to put on that list except for the past few weeks. But i try not to concern myself with FT too much, because the players can practice that by themselves at anytime. They only have so much time with Archie to learn and be taught the offense and defense. Just wish those darn "freebies" would start falling.

I agree with all of your post, but just wanted to put out another concern i have, that i havent seen on here (or just missed it)

My biggest concern with this team and it drives me up a darn wall, is missed free throws. Im not 100% on stats but i feel confident in saying that it has cost us 3 wins minimum this year. Now i just keep telling myself that transforming this offense and defense out of the FCTC era and into CAM's era has taken precedence and maybe that means less free throw practicing, but still...its a free throw. Free throws will cost you if you miss them and they have cost us many times, and nothing more makes my blood boil than missed free throws.

    - Garland has maintained his shaman-like mystical status
    - Drew will forever be known as Drewfus on this board
    - IU fans that attend high school games are big meanies
    Other than that, status quo

Exactly my thoughts...if he decides to go to IU then they will just announce it then with a visit not being needed because they have been here (i think). If he is debating still and/or is leaning another direction, they will give IU the last chance to sway/sell him. I dont see the Langford's being the type that try to put cryptic messages out there or people that try to cause a ruckus.

Scary to think how much better Juwan will be next year after the way he improved from soph to junior. Makes me tingle inside.

FWIW: the Vandy message board is reporting that their student section was about 50% full on Saturday, that the crowd was silent for most of the game, and that the Langford family, including Romeo, showed no emotion and didn’t stand during the entire game, even when the game got exciting and Garland was cheering.
In other words; the exact same signals that drive some IU fans to rash conclusions.
I tell ya’; the posters that I am most in line with are the ones who say that the Langfords are playing this out exactly like they said, and good luck figuring out what they’re really thinking.

So let me get this right—Romeo—an Indiana legend is going to pick Vandy— a baseball school with virtually no basketball history. Oh—in fairness they have won 3 —yes just 3 —regular season basketball conference championships in their history and there was that one year—I kid you not —one time— in their history where they made it to the elite 8 in the NCAA tourney. Heck Archie took Dayton to the elite 8! As far as history—no comparison whatsoever to IU or Kansas where basketball is king —multiple conference and NCAA championships and you play in front of packed and loud crowds instead of a half empty arena with country music being piped in for the fans. In fairness I give Vandy an educational edge but that is moot since Romeo only plans to be there for a year and he was originally favoring Louisville—enough said. Location seems at least even between IU and Vandy—Kansas further away. He is supposedly an Adidas kid who played on the Adidas AAU Circuit and IU and Kansas are Adidas schools while Vandy is Nike. Coaching—have to give the edge to Kansas here as far as proven accomplishments—but Archie is as good or better (better imo) than Drew. Players—Kansas has the advantage here. IU and Vandy would be similar in talent but Romeo has to know there is a steep learning curve for freshmen when they jump into college ball. Does he really think Shittu will be fully recovered? Even if he is —will he be better than a veteran Juwan Morgan? No way. Romeo-Juwan would be a potent 1-2 punch and Phinisee and a seasoned Devonté Green will be above average at the point and more than willing to let Romeo score. Davis and and Smith inside will be big and tough and lots of 3 and 4 Star help is on the way and you can count on one of them to surprise. If McRob and Al get a consistent jump shot —watch out. I just can’t think a friendship with Darius will be the deciding factor to pull him away from the home state school—IU—where he could be a legend. He knows it—his high school coaches know it —and his parents know it. When you look at all the factors—if he picks Kansas I won’t like it but I will understand. If he picks Vandy—I will always believe something el$e is motivating the pick because it makes no sense. Sorry—I call it like I see it. Come on Romeo—follow in Damon’s footsteps—complete your legacy—remain a Hoosier in the State that helped make you who you are. I am confident he should and will pick the Hoosiers!

I'ma gonna get in before the post-Vandy visit articles:
All - be prepared to read and hear about the Langford family's post-Vandy visit comments. These comments will include:
"Loved the atmosphere." "Impressed by Coach Drew. He really cares about his players" "Coach Drew showed me how I would fit in with his offense. I can really see how that would be a great fit for my style." "Vandy has great players coming in next year. Can see how we could be a super-class." "The tour of the campus, academics, and facilities was first class." If I am already able to  'pre-quote' the post-visit interviews, you guys can be sure that they don't mean all that much; largely that:
The Langford's will be gracious guests who will be treated very, very well. They could all be true or not; the player and his family will assess all of their options and try to make the best, most informed decision based on all factors. This visit will contribute to the information set needed to weigh those factors. Period. In other words, in advance: stop freaking out and jumping to rash conclusions!   ;)
