UM has a few nice players. They aren’t all that though. However, they are coached extremely well and are at home. IU is missing, what like 5 players to injury? I was hoping IU wouldn’t walk itself into a buzzsaw at the start but it looks like that’s exactly what happened. *sigh* Uphill battle just to keep it respectable from here on out. This is one of those games we can’t afford to dally with the ball on offense. We can’t afford to have Green, Smith or Durham taking too many shots. No reason Morgan, Romeo and Davis (on the block) shouldn’t be taking 90% of the shots. Get to the FT line a lot and convert at 70%+ IMO that is our only chance. Force UM to deal with Morgan & Romeo almost every possession. Force it if you have to. Not gonna win with Green and Smith trying to “step up”. UM isn’t a special team, but they will spank us if Morgan/Romeo don’t assert themselves. We must constantly force them into fouling situations. IMO. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

I think Juwan has turned into one of IU’s Best all-time forwards regardless of where he ends up on points. Statistically, he had a slow beginning to his IU career, but he is just so solid. He’s turned into probably my favorite IU player since Cov. He’s just a damn good basketball player- shoots well, high IQ, tough around the basket, resilient. He’s a gamer. What else you want, right? Brooks, TJD, Phinisee all Indiana guys all playing together? That sounds like a team with potential for amazing chemistry and synergy. I think Romeo leaves if we finish the year strong, show up in the tourney and he obviously does well. I did not think we were gonna pull that out. It seems like we wore them down a little. They became one dimensional with Baldwin and our different options (Morgan, Romeo, Phinisee) overwhelmed their D toward the end there. Love Phinisee’s game- not showy, unnecessary. Solid. Gamer. Romeo doesn’t seem to have very good awareness. Somebody comes up behind him and takes the ball away on a fast break it seems like every game. Green is mentally off.
