Not sure what it is about this site, but on my laptop whenever I'm on here my CPU usage goes up to like 70-80% and my fan kicks in...no joke. I close it and watch youtube and the usage goes down to like 20%...anyone else have this?

IU is banking on their willingness to offer a top 3 salary. Someone big will go for it.

No way Glass or IU settle for Mack or Collins or Fife...it's funny ppl think that. It will be BD, Alford, Bennett, or Sean Miller. Crazy, right? Well...I think Glass is going to offer 6-7mil a year and one of those guys will be our next coach. That's my prediction.

Could be..but even if it were, IU would still be offering 6-7+ and you know they have targeted him.

Glass would be made a fool if after that presser last week he was offering elite coaches 3-4mil...I bet IU is offering 6-7mil to Donovan and a stupid budget for assistants/recruiting/etc....more to this than just salary I would assume.

I am still bullish on Donovan. No reason to think he wouldn't seriously consider a huge offer from IU, because I'm sure they would come to the table with a ridiculous number. Whether we get BD or not, one thing seems likely- IU is going BIG.

I bet IU does everything in their power to get BD. Can't ask for more than that. I am confident in that for some reason.

I'll bet Glass and IU rescue what might appear to be a bungle...They'll get it done...just when they fear it is all lost, out of desperation, they will lob a fat golden nug and get their guy.This will all be a last minute thing..

For the sake of positivity....I will refer back to Glass's comments and the impression I got from the presser- that IU/Glass are swinging for the fence and will do their utmost to make that happen.

Honestly, I could get behind that after I recovered from a slight depression. As a player he was tough as nails and I think he would be a good coach honestly. I bet IU gets someone more proven though.

I'm with ya...the BD rumors in the very least suggest there has been communication between he and IU which I think is a positive. Do I think it will be BD? If I had to put money down, I'd put it on the field. I'm also not totally sold on IU hiring Alford with the knowledge that 1)Significant number of fans would be vocally upset 2)They would have to answer questions about the Pierce situation and vouch for his character immediately...not sure IU wants to wade through that much public doubt just because he is THE IU guy out there. Maybe what they care about more than anything is IU lineage, but I didn't get that impression from the presser. It certainly was something he wanted to mention but given the last 2 hires, I think they are just as focused on coaching resume, reputation, and potential as they are IU ties.

In regards to the BD rumors...doubt that all the posters on multiple sites are posting lies or that their "sources" are all lying. Some info is probably inferred or spun, but out of the half dozen (or more) sources, you'd think a couple had some legs. There is comfort in knowing that there is something to the BD talk.
