Hey, winning is winning. I just don't see low possession basketball ultimately winning it for IU.

I bet Crean had a great record when the opponent scored under 65 pts...but that didn't happen most of the time. Of the 271 games at Virginia, Bennett's teams have scored 70 or more points 101 times, correct? So 37% of the time they hit the magic number.

What also is effecting my opinion on some of these guys is that I believe IU will pay stupid money for who they want, and that IU can do better with the risk ratio on this one. What gall! I know...I know..

Don't think Sean Miller is a total pipedream..AZ to IU is at very worst a lateral career move, but in a lot of ways it is a step up. He could make more money at IU and his recruiting wouldn't dip at all, and in fact could even improve. He would have the same success if not more and be on national TV more often as the Pac12 has a terrible TV contracts compared to the B1G. Arizona is not UK or UNC or KU or Duke. It isn't on that level. I'm not saying he will or that he ought to, just saying that just because he has been there several years, is making 4.8m and recruits well doesn't mean he wouldn't be interested in 6.5m and more exposure with equal or better facilities, budgets, and easier access to midwest recruits.

Surely there is somewhere between low scoring and high scoring? Where did I say Crean's offense is what I hope for? Why must we go to the opposite?

Low scoring teams don't win big. Offense beats defense in the end.

Gotta think it's gonna be Donovan or Alford. No one else has the track record (BD) or the lineage (Alford).

Would be excited about either one of those hires (I know I'm in the minority), but I sure as hell hope it is Donovan. Marshall would be good too I think if that somehow happened. Everyone else would frankly piss me off.

Strange that Glass would make the comments in the presser about Indiana ties...literally the only candidate that checks all the boxes is Stevens and we know he isn't coming. I know he said he wouldn't "foreclose" someone who didn't have Indiana connections, but it all seems odd. Unless- somehow we are getting Stevens, or its just gonna be Alford. Doesn't make sense to make an ovation to IU/Indiana connections with so little to choose from, viably.
