  1. Is it that bad? Thought about spending the $10 to watch tonight, but after all the chatter after the exhibitions I may just follow the box score online
  2. I thought Allen was recruiting at the highest level of any IUFB coach in history? Can McCullough play QB too?
  3. Jimbo Fisher likely going to available soon. Antwaan Randel El want any part of the mess that is his alma mater?
  4. Allen could have done that last year. He saw how putrid they were and even with a transfer portal didn't prioritize the unit. That I will never understand
  5. Can IU ask for a running clock or to get this game off of national TV?
  6. Would be interested to know if there was something beyond the Hiller friction to cause Coach McCollough to leave. ND obviously the superior college destination, just curious to leave the Super Bowl Chiefs for IU and then leave a year later
  7. Know this isn't the thread, but isn't that honestly the type of candidate that IU has to look for? They either have to look for flameouts (Rhule, Kingsberry?) or the hottest up-and-coming coordinator, wouldn't you think? Edit: Just hearing Herbstreit talk about how different Tennessee is with how wide they stretch the field is what made me envious, really nothing more. Ultimately takes a strong armed QB to pull that off, which would probably hold IU back from pulling that off if I'm honest with myself
  8. I'm sure Heupel's been kind enough to share a few things out of his green notebook? Just of the belief it's a bit easier to attract talent around the ball when you can score some points like when Wilson was here. Not the only reason of course, but Wilson put far more OL into the NFL than Allen has
  9. Can IUFB get Tennesee's OC to be HC? Would love to watch that type of offense at IU. If we're going to suck I'd rather score some points. Wilson years were at least fun for a bit
  10. Hooker will be 25 in January
  11. Bring back Pitino
  12. Leipold's built programs. It may not work out at Kansas, but he's been a HC and won. LEO could very well work, but needs to be backed up by wins. I'm not seeing those coming as I don't see how this OL play improves unless something happens on the portal. Which by the way, if your OL play is going to be this poor, shouldn't your QB be mobile, a bit like Jalon Daniels? 25 million is a lot of money to be assuring a guy to not win
  13. Big difference between Lance Leipold and Tom Allen
  14. If he was all about LEO and loved the university he would negotiate and buyout for the fraction of what he's owed.
  15. Kansas hasn't been shy to throw money around and retry. And they are having success with the most unknown and likely cheapest of the recent bunch (Weis, Myles)
  16. Allen or whoever is the coach, needs to be prioritizing OL on the transfer portal. IU can't survive recruiting at a MAC level for that unit
  17. San Diego stuff smokes the same as LA if I had to guess
  18. Bought a Rock jersey his rookie year. Then he kinda wasn't great or got hurt then switched numbers his second season. Frustrating, so went with a Taylor jersey this past offseason
  19. There enough room for Alabama special advisor's to take on both Frost and Rhule?
  20. Yannick is awesome and Gilmore is a great addition. But Yannick was a cap casualty and Colts traded one of their busts (Ballard hasn't drafted CBs well at all) Smith was given an extension a year early wasn't he? I believe he still had a year, if not 2, on his rookie deal when he was given his extension. He was a very solid college guard, had a very solid rookie season moving to RT, then given a huge extension based off that year as he was injured and had Covid the other years on his deal if my memory serves correctly. Maybe he gets it ironed out, but he was just moved from RT to RG last week, why? Odd look, no? I've said before the defense is outstanding, it's just a shame that the offense is so putrid. That's another thing, Ballard's had plenty of cap space every season as GM, he could have added weapons for Wentz and for Ryan. Julio Jones was available just this offseason. Not saying he'd be a big addition, but I can't imagine it being a bad thing for Piece and even Pittman Jr to learn from one of the best WRs the league has seen the past 15 years. From the outside looking in, I'm not sure the brain trust (Ballard, Reich and Irsay) are even on the same page. Clearly Irsay is of the belief this is a Super Bowl caliber roster based on the Jax loss and moving on from Wentz after the come-to-Jesus meeting last season. I just find it odd that once again Colts have dug themselves a hole to dig out of in September. The AFC South is so bad, that it may not matter, but I'd love to see the Colts score offensive touchdowns again. Would be a welcome change. Slow Monday and it's my dog's birthday so nothing better to do. Cheers
  21. LT? Ballard inherited Castanzo and never bothered finding a heir apparent until he'd already retired and due to that force a project OL into LT role on primetime football just this past week. He may be a project, but these games do count. Fair he's better than Grigson, but Grigson was at least aggressive in free agency. I still don't know what Ballard is waiting on there
  22. Is it scheme or talent? He needs to go, family friend or not, but what change would it make in 2022? Beyond?
  23. Announcer just really say IU needs to drop back pass, but they don't have the ability in a nice way?
  24. My bad missed that - thought you were saying he should stay and only Reich should go. Wouldn't have replied as much if I knew that. Just have buddies who sing Ballard's praises similar to you do and I just don't get it
