Gulp, we didn't have a great batting average on portal guys this season. .333 which I guess is HOF worthy, but this ain't baseball -
He'd have to sit out a year if he left though I thought I read. If he's done with basketball that's one thing, but if not I can't imagine he'd be eager to not play. We need to find someone to play in the post. Geronimo is athletic, but it's a big ask for him to bang around down there with a Edey or whoever else is in the conference next year

That's my fear. Happy we made the tournament and pleased with the run we made to get there, but we're back to the Crean inbalanced rosters after this year if Race and TJD leave. Only guards coming in and we need some guys in the post. Durr and Geronimo aren't going to get it done

Awful sequence by Phinisee. Forces a shot then jogs back on defense for his guy to get an easy layup

Bates in and gets some buckets and does some things. Could we really not have ran with him over Kopp in the first half? Result likely wouldn't have been different, but what does Kopp provide that Bates couldn't?

Turnovers and points on turnovers are ugly, but once again getting killed by our opponent hitting the 3. Got to be able to hit some if you're IU. 5 year problem

I'm personally, thinking Senior Night killed his spirit. I was surprised the entire team played as well as they had after that night

I haven't filled out a bracket in years - I just enjoy the games, but I don't kid myself that there aren't good teams everywhere, regardless of conference.

You're the one making the argument that a WCC team is average and not impressive. That same team is working us right now

Do you really think Gonzaga wouldn't be in the top half of the B1G? Sure they wouldn't go undefeated in the conference and regular season like they did last year, but Few has that program rolling and has for a while. Landing some big fish on the recruiting trail now too. I wish we could play offense like they do. So envious of the way they get the ball up the floor and get into it

They'd still smoke us. They are good, IU is average at best. Until we can find some shooting there are going to be games like this

Thank you. The gap between conference levels has closed immensely. There are good players everywhere. The WCC has 3 tournament teams this year with BYU and Santa Clara on the bubble. Not exactly a terrible conference that I've heard far too often today

Race has not been good at all in several straight games. So disappointing as he usually provides that toughness, but he's been off. Sick I guess in Dayton, but looks the same tonight

Why not try Bates. Kopp forcing shots. Bates could do that and maybe even hit one or two

Randy Bennett is a solid coach. This team beat Gonzaga. Not sure why IU fans want to thumb their noses at them. This team could beat us and it wouldn't be a surprise at all. We're getting worked right now

IU let them see the ball go in a few times from deep now they're going to start running them off there or we're in trouble. That 5 bench lineup has been a killer tonight. Why are we doing that in a do or die tournament

I'm sorry we may be deep in that we play 10, but I don't think our bench is of quality enough to justify to go 5 on 5 off
