IU lands Stevens during the NCAA tourney and IU can basically write off next year's marketing spend. They'll be _the_ story on every broadcast for the next month - millions of dollars worth of promotion, for free.

At this point, bringing Archie back is punting on 3rd down from the 40 yard line. It's over and done. Can him tonight, let an assistant finish the season.

With our luck, we'll end up hiring the person that stole Brad's identity. *Introducing you new coach: Brad Stevens!* "hmm, Brad sure looks different these days"

What Does IU Need to Do to Get in the NCAAs?

Oh man, we're just dipping our toes into this coaching-search cycle and it's already at the "real estate search for Brad Stevens" stage. Not sure I'll be able to handle the insanity this time around lol!

Return volley, to a high school kid. Dakich is a trash person and shouldn't be given a platform. -

If TJD could learn to time his post moves to when the ball handler is ready to pass, he'd be near unstoppable. -

I think Archie's deep-down wish is to win every game 10 - 6. -

So this 6'5" kid has grown into his 6'8" freshman role, playing as a 6'9" center that has drawn interest from IU towards the 6'11" young talent? -
I think the post you're responding to was sarcasm.

This has nothing to do with being offended, or at least I've never been offended by him. It's that he's been obviously a trash-human. When public figures benefit from their position insulating the repercussions of their behavior, it's nice to see them finally have to deal with reality (just a bit at least).

Came here to say the same

If I recall (no research, too lazy) - conference rank wound up where we were protected to begin the season. I was confident we would "overachieve" and land somewhere around 6th to 8th. I think many others here felt the same. Question is then, was the preseason predicted rank accurate? Or was it incorrect, as we suspected, but just happened to be true because the B10 as a whole was substantially better than expectation? To put it another way, almost all B10 teams outplayed their predicted finish - which resulted in predicted rankings being accurate (and predicted win/loss not accurate).

If anyone is attending, I highly recommend the new(ish) Taxman Brewing Co. Brewpub. It's a 5 minute walk, just South of Banker's Life (use East exit, onto Delaware). Great food and beer: https://www.taxmanbrewing.com/home-cityway/ -
Can Drake hang on? This game is just oozing "March"

Watching OSU vs ILL, Dakich on the broadcast - not sure he's sober. Perhaps he's sick, sounds that way, but he's making far less sense than usual.

(2021) PF Trey Kaufman to Purdue

Clearly, it's Luke Brown -
Ohio State as a 5 seed seems high to me. What have they done to separate them so much from IU? Schedule seems near identical - both have similar class of wins/loses and an identical record.

Game Thread: Indiana Hoosiers vs. Minnesota Golden Gophers

Maybe it's just the latest rumors coloring my view, but Justin Smith looked like he wanted nothing less than to be there during those player introductions. -
This is a mess, see you all next year

Single biggest complaint I have actually originated with Crean but persists with Archie: losing close games due to confusion and poor execution when you have multiple unspent timeouts I just don't understand. If you're a coach, using a timeout is one of the few ways to directly influence the game. If you want to be a coach, coach. If you want to be a spectator, do so from somewhere not the bench.
