To borrow a bit from the investment world: don't get fooled by the dead cat bounce. MSU is a perfect matchup for Woody's flawed system - they can't shoot and their bigs are suspect. Any team that can shoot decently - decently, not well - will chew IU up just as they have all season.

I know nothing about the Ark St coach. Does he have loose ties to Indiana or IU? Is he the next up and coming coach we collectively fall in love with only to have our hearts ripped out when the IU BOT keeps Woodson for his 8th year (see: Dusty May, Josh Schertz)?

Wouldn't Dolson be Woody's boss? Sure doesn't seem like this dynamic plays out in that relationship. This hero worship nonsense is significant in why IU is in this situation with Woodson. That sort of thing has no place in high functioning teams, sports or otherwise. It's a cancer and we are seeing all of the expected symptoms.

If I had to guess, I say Woody's lineup later in the season is more contingent on the games in Nov/early-Dec than it will be on development through the season. He'll start with a single big, and do the NBA-style platoon substitutions he's done in previous early games. If that goes well, then great, he'll stick with it later in the year. If not, it'll probably be back to two bigs and everything goes through the middle.
