I’m sure I’ve watched an uglier half of ball this year but none leaps to mind.

Friend of mine says that drinking a shot every time Reed finishes through contact would be the driest drinking game ever. But we’ll take them when they happen.

That is an interesting choice. God knows they could use another 10 minutes of rebounding and interior D, but do you burn his redshirt over 8-12 games? Tough call.

I can count on probably my fingers and toes the players I’ve ever seen who make basketball look as easy as Darryn Peterson does. If the Pacers end up with the 1st pick I don’t care about fit, it’s that kid.

The Josh Shertz effect at SLU: Nothing going on tonight so thought I’d grab a ticket to SLU-Dayton. Yeah, no. Sold out. Aftermarket starting at $200. In 13 years in St Louis I have NEVER not been able to grab a good SLU ticket for a song. Telling ya, if he gets and keeps it rolling there that is a really good job and it’s gonna take a really, really good job with a really big check to get him out of there because SLU can pay.

I have so much time off this year and literally no plans for it that I’m tentatively planning to do both the UA and EYBL events in KC and chewing on doing the 3SSB event in Mishawaka. They fit together pretty well. But if Branham’s still the only UA offerree at that point that’s strictly an over and back. And, man, do I wish the Adidas event was still in Indy. Mishawaka is a hike.

Ok, yes, him. Anyone who isn’t currently committed?

Imagine he would, but I’ll say this: SLU is a really, really good gig. They’ve got money, facilities, good conference and basketball is the only game in town unless you count soccer. Have always thought it has a Creighton-type ceiling, maybe a little higher than that, with the right guy. He can afford to be very patient.

Schertz appears to be the overwhelmingly popular name among the Providence fanbase to replace Kim English. Hate to break it to them but while I’m sure they’re right that English is a dead man walking, if/when Schertz leaves SLU it ain’t gonna be for Providence.

What are you saying? That couldn’t have been more than 2ft left and 2ft long.

Is this being streamed somewhere and I’m missing it? Everything about it and the way it’s out there certainly feels streamed and yet nothing I’ve seen actually says that.
