  1. Don’t love the 68 guys but Sherrell’s apparently deleted this reply and I’d be willing to guess it’s because his agent told him that’s exactly what he’s asking for.
  2. Clearly Pope’s big move.
  3. That is just plain cool. Plant’s career has been something. He and Peter Gabriel have hit every genre of music imaginable. Love that kind of artistic curiosity.
  4. https://hoosiersportal.com/Public Don’t know if this is already posted, but in case it isn’t this is Adragna’s IU portal tracker. Last year he did a really good job of staying on top of it. Nothing super involved but it keeps all of the names in 1 place.
  5. Multiple pieces of good news in Krysten’s tweet.
  6. Probably nothing, but who knows: ‘26 PG Kingston Whitty decommits from West Virginia. Played last year at The Christ School with Trevor Manhertz, so the staff would have seen a fair bit of him. Not the sharpest PG instincts but highly athletic and really competes. If the staff would still like to get a ‘26 PG into the program maybe they kick the tires.
  7. Of all G-League kids trying to find their way back to college Pate is by far the best.
  8. I was sure they were gonna land him. He wanted the Hood-Schifino role so much. His game wasn’t actually all that similar but he clearly saw himself as that guy. Imagine Woody probably refused to go that far and Stoudamire said no problem come have the ball and then didn’t actually let him have it. A little bit like the Shrewsberry/Jalen Haralson situation.
  9. I’m sure he is. Mustaf had a Georgetown offer when Kenny was there. Started at DeMatha HS before he went to a prep school that I’m spacing on and then OTE. Played EYBL for Boo Williams which is a DMV-based program. I’m sure he knew his dad forever.
  10. I seem to remember hearing there were some expectations but I don’t know specifics. Jerrod was super involved in his recruitment and supposedly set some pretty rigid parameters on some things. Probably best left alone. But he died a year, year and a half ago.
  11. When people talk about how knowledgeable the IUBB fanbase is, in comparative terms that’s probably true. And then there’s this guy. Dorn and Mustaf quite literally can’t be more different as players. They don’t share a single basketball similarity. Not one. Yeah
  12. Mustaf was a priority guy for Woody/Kenya, took an official, and IU was 1 of his 4 finalists. He’s certainly interesting. A really good athlete and a big, strong frame at 6’6”. Would be a nice piece in 3 guard lineups because he’s big enough to defend 90% of college wings. Has high end defensive tools, though no idea where he is right now. And he takes the ball to the rim on anyone. Man, I just wish the stroke was better and he has to develop some kind of mid-range game.
  13. Never got around to The Tragically Hip until my daughter chastised me for it a couple of weeks ago. Have now gone through 3 albums and they were a legit fantastic band. This is from their 4th album, Day for Night, and for just shear cool songs don’t get better than this. The opening build, from the little isolated drum kick to the awesome bass line, is as good as you can do it. The whole album is a killer but this thing is incredible.
  14. Nice fit for everyone concerned. Incredibly similar system to Belmont’s
  15. It would also almost certainly be a pretty insane overpay. But if the kid came in with the mindset that Wilkerson brought last year to earn every penny I’d be down. He’s a really good player and a really good system fit.
  16. True, but to be fair it’s been pretty damned funny for the last 2 hours.
  17. Doubt seriously that those 2 would be an either/or proposition.
  18. Interesting. Don’t think I want another PG that teams can just go under ball screens on but will say this about Clark: have been clamoring for a good while for a kid who just makes a team their own and he’s that guy. Is also the toughest, most competitive kid on the floor all the time.
  19. Apparently young David thinks the difference between $2M and $3M is similar to the difference between $2 and $3.
  20. And speaking of where a chunk of Dorn’s minutes might go…..
  21. This right here. Any moron can look at a Bidunga or Wright and say they can play. My daughter who couldn’t tell you which ball a basketball is can do that. Carr’s job is to find undervalued assets and I’m 100% confident he can. Dude drafted Taelon freakin’ Peter last year who didn’t even start at Liberty and that guy’s gonna hang around in the League for a long time. So I’m gonna give them the presumption of correctness on every kid they bring in, no exceptions. Adam Olsen, no problem, welcome to the family. Now if they go out and go 10-25 we’ll need to revisit it.
