I think everyone should get familiar with the name "Jordan Geist." He's in my class at my high school and the kid is an unrelenting defender, ridiculous athlete, and dependable scorer (as evidenced by his 17 and 19 points in the Jr. Games). He's not been recruited heavily at all, but I expect that to change after this weekend.

Lol, give away?  James Blackmon Jr.?  Robert Johnson?  Those are two players any school in America would love to have.  Are you serious, or just being impulsive?  Don't like the big situation either, but this is a little far fetched.  Hell, the time where most kids commit is like 3-5 months away for 2015.

    That Twitter pic shows that Troy had just finished knocking down 100 out of 136 from 3 pt territory.
 
Don't y'all go telling me that it's different during games. Of that I am aware. The takeaway is that Troy is recognizing his weaknesses and working hard at them, and that is a very good thing.

Years ago, I went to a non-conference game and sat two rows behind the bench.  During a TV-timeout, the team huddled and the next thing I hear (out of a former coach) was "Who S#%& themselves?"  Suddenly A.J. Ratliff is pushed out of the huddle laughing.

I went to an IU basketball game with my dad the year that they had 12 wins (they won that game), and we got to go see the court because we got there a few hours early. Crean was standing on the other side of the gym, saw us, and walked over to us to say hi. He took pictures with me, signed a program and gave it to me, and had someone open up cook hall for us so I could shoot around for a bit.

Safe to say it was the best experience of my life.

For those who don't venture off this board, the baseball Hoosiers just finished dismantling the big ten, and are about to get a national seed in the NCAAs. Also, mark Cuban sported a tre Roberson jersey at the Indy 500!

I was at a fundraising gala the other night at which Mr. Crean was an honored guest. I was fortunate enough to get to speak with him for a little bit. First of all, he came into the room full of volunteers and met everyone in the room, and he was the only celebrity guest to do that. But, one of the coolest things I took from the night was when I said to him,

"I'd just like to thank you for bringing back Indiana basketball for us."

To which he replied,

"Ohhh yeah, well we are going to bring it alllllll the way back."

I thought that was pretty awesome, and I wanted to brag a little too.

If we can learn how to win in the last 4 minutes of the game, I think we are definitely top 5 in the Conference.

I am surprised he didn't end up at the halfway house university of Georgia State.

Close sources around the Marion area is that James Blackmon Sr. is being heavily courted by the IU coaching staff.  If so, I have really mixed emotions with this.
 
NBA experience, NCAA experience, AAU experience, High School championship experience, coached McD all-stars in high school (Thomas, JBJ), His wife is a huge IU alum, already has relationships built with numerous recruits and their families...however, the X's and O's are a challenge.

Jurkin will graduate next year. Problem solved. His spot will be open for 2015. No need to go HAM on a great guy like Peter. He's had some very unfortunate medical situations that haven't allowed him to show what he can do. With so much time/experience lost, he will likely never see the floor. Peter is a great student and will easily finish his degree next year. I get the frustration, but just spend 5 minutes with Peter and you'll regret even thinking it.
