Good call on the answer to my over and back question earlier. Looked it up and the rules were clearer than I remembered. Art 4-d...No control = no over and back. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

    College Bball Thread

Question: End of regulation the missed Virginia free throw is tipped into the backcourt by a Virginia player and then retrieved by a different Virginia player. Should that have been called over and back? Doesn’t Virginia have possession by virtue of being on offense and shooting the free throw and no one but the Virginia player touched the ball when it was swatted into the back court? I know you can inbounds the ball into the backcourt, but this is different. If the ball had been tipped by a Purdue player I think that makes a difference because that would be a deflection and the ensuing Virginia tip might not be considered a controlled possession...but with the ball only being touched on the miss by the Virginia player it seems like it could be over and back to me. Very curious what the actual rule is on this and if anyone can provide a certain explanation. Good call...or missed call? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  3. I have followed this site for a long time, but don’t post much. I’d like to talk to someone that manages the site about how it works and the cost involved. I’m interested in creating something like this for an industry group that I’m a part of. I really like how the site is structured as well as the availability of the app. If you are able to give me some advice on this could you pm me? Thanks Kevin Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  4. I agree with others that have pointed out that we were a first round NIT loss team last year that lost our best players. Recruiting was really trending downward and this year under Crean would have been REALLY ugly with this roster and recruiting would have tanked further. We need to have realistic expectations. I don't like losing, but it looks to me like we've seen some progress over the first three games. Seton Hall is a better team and should have won this game. We need to continue to see improvement from game to game, and I think we will be more competitive as the season progresses. It's fun to win, but it's also fun to watch a team grow. Time will tell, but I think we'll get to see this team grow a lot over the course of the season...and sooner or later, that growth will translate into wins. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Checked the topics on the old rivals premium site (not currently a subscriber) and was kind of surprised to see several topics about Steve Alford. Have I missed something here or at 247 that has cited Alford as a realistic candidate? Sent from my iPhone Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Have followed for a long time but just read and hardly ever post. I've been looking for anything about CTC on any Missouri boards I could find. This was an interesting read...any of you follow any other boards with any similar discussions? http://tigerboard.com/boards/view.php?message=14599692 Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
