They could do this by saying how he cares so much and wants IU to succeed, instead they’re acting like we have a retiring hall of famer lol

I agree, I just think they HAVE to start negotiating soon now, and if we don’t hear anything, I’d be pretty surprised if it meant anything other than Dusty to IU is a strong possibility. He’s got more B1G wins in year 1 than they had wins period last season. They have to make a move with our job opening IMO.

I don’t think I’d say new per se, but essentially a confirmation of everything we’ve been saying for over a year. Doesn’t recruit high schoolers, high school coaches in the state don’t like him, made the retirement stuff difficult, used the job as social club instead of working, etc. etc. More or less confirmed all the worst assumptions we’ve made. Also basically credits TJD for all the success, limited though it was. It convinced me the IU media has been covering this up and known he wasn’t doing anything to make IU better. One accusation was new to me that I haven’t bothered to substantiate was that he only did recruiting trips to places with good golf. Vegas, Phoenix, etc.

I deserve nothing due to my faithless prediction league pick in an attempt to protect my lead lol, but I hope we kick the crap out of Dusty and Co. today. I never wanted losses, but it definitely feels easier today.

If we don’t hear about a Dusty extension or at least talks soon, I’m going to assume there is heavy smoke blowing in that direction.

I’m not saying you (or anyone else is wrong about this) but is there any truth to this claim other than folks seeing the buyout as a little low? And it’s not really super low for a guy jumping to P4 from what I can research. I just don’t see anything to support this claim.

We will know quick if he finally starts one big. But my guess, because Michigan plays two bigs we will too, never mind that their bigs can step outside and the one guy can put it on the deck. It’s a bad matchup for the Ballo/Malik tandem IMO. But I am certain Woody wants to win this game. I’d bet it’s been circled for a while, unless he’s completely disconnected and thinks their coach is named Rusty May.

Johnell getting denied admission has also got to be working in our favor. Michigan will never be as attractive as long as their undergraduate transfer rules are in place.
