In leap years, why do we have to get an extra day in February? Why couldn't we get an extra day of June?

I tend to agree with most of this. However, I don't know what the conservation is with this kid among the staff. I also don't know what other kids they're having conversations with. I can't imagine a coach not taking a player who could improve the team. I guess I'm saying that the unknowns as a fan make it hard for me to question too much what CMW is doing.

I don't see anyway we are not better, maybe significantly, next year. We now have an organized, process oriented coach with a staff he is familiar with. He is filling holes with players who have been successful already and expect to be successful going forward. I expect disciplined, fundamentally sound football next year. We might lose games because the opponent is just better, but I don't expect to lose games because we beat ourselves.

After a few of those, that's exactly where my head is.

I think this team is good enough to cause anyone problems if they lock in on defense. We gave up a ton of good looks from three tonight. Can't do that against better competition. Maybe we get there, maybe we don't, but that's where I think we can win games.

I love that he is process oriented. Is laser focused on getting guys who fit what he wants to do. Being well organized is huge with as many players as there are in football. I'm willing to bet that practices are going to be a whole lot different under CCC.

I'd say more than a hint. Reminds me a lot of CBK in that I don't think he is one to suffer fools.

If his team plays as good as he talks, we are going to have a lot of fun. I don't see the undisciplined play we've become accustomed to continuing under CCC.

CCC has come to play.

Yeah, I though one or the other but not both. On the other hand, competition is the best path to being good.

I remember that game. Absolutely brutal. If there had been message boards, they would have been calling for coach's head.

I heard CBK say the wrong team won after bad performance wins. This one definitely qualities. No one in our locker room should feel good about tonight. I really enjoyed Lathan having the game of his life. Looked like he was having fun, something I never saw on our guys faces.

Him being better doesn't matter if we couldn't keep him. I'm not trying to be argumentative, I just don't see the point in comparing guys we don't have with guys we do. Once again, arguing points is not my thing and I'm happy to let this go. We all want the same thing.

Not really my point. The logistics in the NIL era aren't the same as before. It was reported that Bates wanted more $ than his to date performance had justified. I liked Bates and hoped would work out here. It didn't and I don't think the fault is all on the IU side. We are in an era where money is a factor in almost every aspect of recruiting. This going to be a part of roster building every year.

Maybe, maybe not. I don't think anyone was happy with his play last year. And, if I remember correctly, his asking price to stay was unreasonable given how he had played. Getting and / or keeping guys these days have so many moving parts that I don't envy anyone trying to build a roster.

Add me to that group. I absolutely loved that team. I remember watching the Vans in the state tournament playing Kokomo, I think, and losing in overtime. Didn't take the time to look it up so forgive me if I'm having a senior moment.

I was 27 and in grad school on campus. I had my three year old daughter with me that semester so didn't get to enjoy like a normal student.

Won't be another this season.

Finally, a coach with a vision.
