I love my friends and would go to great lengths to support them but if my friend asks me to switch seats with him and take on his entire responsibility for something that was avoidable I am saying no all day every day

I hope he is not, I would be disappointed in Woodson. X is a talent that needs some parenting/coaching/help maturing. the world is coming fast for him and he is either going to sink or swim and he needs a man in his life like Woodson to take him under his wing. there are ways for Woodson to get through to him and help him mature. He seems to have some emotional maturity issues and he needs to work through them quickly before he enters the real world

I figured they were hiring him to improve the program, you don’t do that worrying about your 12th and 13th man on the roster.

Nor is winning if he is chasing IU’s bench players

I hear you, it definitely shouldn’t be taken lightly, he could have killed someone - by accident of course but he put others in harms way by being stupid. while I agree it is a big deal, I think this should be a situation where Woody leans in on him even more. Be that dad away from home, be that positive male role model because kicking him to the curb isn’t going to solve anything for him nor others around him, it will just happen in a different town instead of Bloomington.

IU players have been doing dumb and bad things since the beginning of time. Your ignorance of that is on you or you just never cared either

If he does it gives us another option next time we need one. I’m hoping we get 10 good years out of Woodson but regardless, good to have alumni out there doing well

It’s kinda odd to include teams in your final list that aren’t even recruiting you let alone haven’t offered a scholarship. I wonder if a school has ever reached out to a kid and asked to be removed

It would be the remedy we have been looking for. He fills just about every need we’ve been lacking

IU is a unique option, that’s the point. wants to get to the NBA - play for a former nba guard and nba coach? want to be closer to home and play for the state school that has a giant fanbase? want to play with two bigs that demand attention and were both all-Bigten honorable mention and 2nd team? want to play for a team that made the tourney but lacked a legit 3 point option? there are crap ton of reasons IU is unique and offers a lot to a player like Pack and it’s odd to say otherwise.

Race and Trace are a quality front line that would rival just about any. that makes IU a unique option. There aren’t 10 schools with a better front line than those two

When you are Nigel Pack you are more concerned about what bigs a team has than what guards they have. He’s an alpha

He will have 100+ options but not sure how he will have better fits. He would be our best and most important player from day 1 and solve our biggest problem we have had over the 6 seasons if TJD returns we finally have that duo that complements each other’s skill sets

Honestly, that’s fine. You don’t pass up getting someone that would be your best player from day 1 because of other players you have. we will never be good if that is the plan

This is where I’ve been all season after a handful of meaningful games. Kopps slightly better 3 point shooting does not outweigh the advantage that Geronimo has on him in rebounding and defense. The guy attacks the boards with a passion and even offers shot blocking. I too don’t want to hate on Kopp, he would be a great player in role minutes. We need more out of the 3 and he just doesn’t give it to us

Do we know anyone that coached or played at Akron that might have some connections?

He got zero run in that game and all the excuses from fans were that our starters were gassed. How is he not able to come in for 1 min in the middle of each half to give TJD a breather? we subbed out other starters and brought in a walk in.
