We’re being told optics is important and the timing to be right. Sadly optics does matter. however, he has obligations in his contract that I believe he is not fulfilling. That not only seems to be cause for termination but also without pay/buyout.

I cannot fathom that this really happened. There is a ton of stupidity to go around but having a meeting like this or even approaching them in secrecy is a complete bonehead move. they aren’t important in the big scheme of things and you just don’t do that unless you are 100% moving forward asap

I would say no way did Dolson expose “The Plan” with the assistants or he is a complete moron. in no way does that happen without an immediate move. If that happened and an immediate move wasn’t made that is child’s play. Never in my career have I seen something like that. You don’t let subordinates know a boss is being let go unless you do it a minute after informing them.

Perhaps. As another poster mentioned, if a mid season move were to be made you do it right after the second back to back 25 point blowouts where your own fans chanted to fire you and filed out early. “If” a plan was already in place they could have moved swiftly right after that game and it would be done with. now instead we have an even bigger mess as you don’t do it after a conference road win and we’re in jeopardy of bringing him back into the hall and getting bood again on national television.

Not having a plan in place already makes me less confident in the leadership. One should have been crafted and put on the back burner before they returned from the Bahamas
