Are you sure? I was told we did reach out to Alford and several others. He was asked to come in for an interview and he told IU if you want me I will come but not going to interview, my resume should speak for itself. IU said, ok never mind then. I’m a fan of freedom of speech as well and don’t mind people or organizations making a stand but while there are not legal ramifications for this, there most certainly will be monetary ones. That said, if a brand like Nike pushes in all their chips in support of Kaepernick, they do so knowing they are going to piss off a lot of people and get high fives from the rest. I think it’s important to stand for something but those stances come with repercussions and with Indiana being a red state, I imagine Nike didn’t do themselves a favor in the state with that move often supported by the blue Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I agree, if people did not know him they would not hate him! We as fans don’t usually get a lease into who the players are as people and therefor Dakich would likely have been looked as as Charlie hustle kind of guy with an inflated story about shutting down Michael Jordan but he chose a profession that naturally allows a lens into who is and what he is about and that there are a ton of people, myself included that don’t like what they see and hear from him. “His personality off air couldn’t be more different than his personality on air” reads to me that he is a huge phony and he must be if he is indeed still a Hoosier fan. I cannot stand it when I hear from a very select few that he is real and just shoots it straight, it sounds Trumpy to me which means he just spews whatever crosses his mind at the time regardless of fact, knowing it will irk/rile up the public. He acts like a child picking fights with just about everyone including children and is so confidently wrong so often it is easier to pick out his truths than his wrongs.
