  1. Pffft...you're so mediocre that you're just settling for apathy. Wait...
  2. Dude, stop. We are 16-3. It's not "apathy." It's actually been an issue for a while, it's just more prominent now with the new seating system. And this is a national problem: http://kentuckysportsradio.com/basketball-2/examining-the-low-student-attendance-epidemic/[attachment=3264:ImageUploadedByBtownBanners1453400663.672919.jpg]
  3. OK, this is a tad exaggerated. They still oversell the student section. We sold 11,000+ tickets for a 7,800 seat allotment. We're 16-3 (6-0). That is not mediocre. As I said earlier, Bama football and UK hoops have had these issues too. This isn't a Crean thing, it's just frustrating to see and makes me think we may need to limit student tix a bit since they have so many other options now. And as far as "never an empty seat", that's just patently false:[attachment=3261:ImageUploadedByBtownBanners1453348145.549295.jpg]
  4. Then why are they buying them? That's $200+. If there was a lack of interest we wouldn't be selling 11,000+ tickets for a 7,800 seat allotment.
  5. Yep. That entire balcony is GA student seating.
  6. OK, maybe I'm misunderstanding here, but you know ahead of time that it's GA right? If you don't get there early, the best seats will be filled. That's how it works. Leaving the balcony empty is begging to have the section reduced, especially when there is a wait list. Every school has some court side seats saved for donors. Duke and MSU are no exception. It's about $$$. Also, those schools only give students about a third of the seats we give to our students, so you may not even get a ticket there. If I were in charge, I would put students behind the benches on court level and leave the other side for donors. But, I'm not.
  7. Am I the only one who's getting pretty irritated with the student attendance? They just are simply not filling up the 7800 seats. You could see how many empty seats there were in the balcony last night. The balconies were pretty full over Christmas break when people who don't typically get to go could go, but since most of the student section is general admission now, many just don't show up if they know they will get there late and end up in the balcony (one balcony is entirely GA student seating and the other is about half alums and half students). Hell, there was even a big gap of empties behind the basket for the entire first half. It's not like they're "boycotting" Crean or something, and this is an issue at a lot of places...Bama football and UK hoops have had similar problems. We did sell over 11,000 student tickets again. But with a general public wait list, is it time to yank some seats from them if they just aren't going to show up? Thoughts?
  8. Our offense is routinely highly rated under Crean. The problem is our D is usually atrocious. There isn't a single team out there that doesn't occasionally look bad on offense. I've seen a ton of standing around from Kansas and MSU lately...they've looked awful. And yes, I'm referring to other programs because IU isn't some magical program elevated above the others. Bryant has been pretty dominant lately and we've been really making a point to get it to him. Last night they were giving us the 3, so we drilled 19. Good teams can win in multiple ways.
  9. How about we let the season play out and enjoy watching an 11 game winning streak and games like last night? Talking about firing or keeping someone in January is pointless. Or is that crazy talk?
  10. There are like 40 rounds in the baseball draft, so he definitely would've gotten a shot.
  11. Actually we have the only Assembly Hall now. They play in the State Farm Center now after renovation.
  12. We may see Dutra, Crawford, and Thompson at the same time with the 4-2-5.
  13. Wait, OG's going to be overmatched because he's not from Indiana? Wut
  14. In other words, Butch Jones is being Butch Jones.
  15. Ken(drick) Nunn loves IU Basketball! We've got support from every angle.
  16. Theres so much to like about this video. Watching Weber go on even though he has no idea what he's talking about, the complete disinterest from the players, and knowing they would go on to lose.
  17. It is good to have a guy to help with Indiana, but we should always recruit the southeast. The overall talent level is just better there.
  18. He's known as a heck of a recruiter, in both the southeast and Indiana, so I'd say we'll find the right pieces. IU grad!
  19. Auburn offered him $800k and he turned them down. I doubt he'll get that here, but I'd bet he's going to get quite a bump.
  20. Indeed.[attachment=3218:ImageUploadedByBtownBanners1452963917.409214.jpg]
  21. This was stuck on 99 responses. Can't allow that. That kick was good.
  22. Football is a completely different situation.
  23. If we win the conference there is no chance he will be fired. 0.
