So there are a couple of 6-5, 6-6, 250+lb guys on the football team. Think Cig can lend us one or two when we finish Jan 19? :)

So do you think it is more roster construction (which certainly has it's issues) or coaching issues (roster aside). Meaning, next year, when we have ample time to put a roster together, we should see improvement. Unlike years past where the hump was coaching.

Used to call those guys -- Gym Class All Stars. :)

I think that is fair. Right now, every QB with a dream is going to want to play for Cig. :)

I think we need to be careful going after every shiny object QB in the portal. The young studs will want to be able to trust the program if they commit out of HS. Cig can be selective. I mean if you're Albeto, you might have a WTF moment. He got you big Bro, which led to Heisman, which leads to Cignetti the QB whisperer, which leads to QBs knocking on the door. I hope at worst he's looking at a second development year and given the keys his JR year. :)

Yeah, I struggled with the time, but gave Credit to the Crean years as it seemed we righted the ship. Been a miserable failure since, unfortunately.

When I win, I have some $$$ earmarked for IU. :)

That is because the IU Brand has been decimated by 8+ years of chit. We have everything one needs to be successful except execution. Can CDD do it? IDK, but he'd better start coaching so next year's recruits can see a future pointing up.

It's always been a live by the 3, die by the 3 roster. What you say should have been recognized and done day 1, not Jan 1. :) DD has to prove he can coach. Jury is out.

Everybody knew this was a "mid-major" roster. The only thing that would make it work in the BIG10 is if DD coached the chit out of it. Doesn't look like that is happening. Kind of seen the same problems in each loss, with no adjustments. DD better get his chit together and quick. Get creative and come up with some answers. Unfortunately, IU basketball has been a dumpster fire for a while. NIL and the portal is great, but we aren't getting the top guys regardless of money spent until we start showing some success. Top NIL guys want to go to a team that is in the tournament and they are the piece that will put the team in the final 4. They don't want to be the guy who gets them to the tournament.

It's the old "chuck and duck" offense. Pretty much sux.

Yep Coach Cignetti is one of one. Very few, if any like him out there. Hopefully one day he writes a book memorializing all of that knowledge of success and running an organization. Now, don't ever mention Coach Cignetti and that a$$hat Lane Kiffin in the same post again. One's a douchbag and the other is Curt Cignetti. :)

Will this game affect playoff seeding? We have been top four all year. Why do I remember something last year about conference championships having no affect? I want to go where it’s warm.

I'm not jumping off the ledge. At the end of the day, they are just young dudes and it's difficult to get up for a game against "who the hell are they U" and a half empty stadium. Even I wasn't excited about this game -- listened to first half in car on the way home, and kinda watched second half while eating dinner. Ho hum. We'll see if they bounce back against Kansas State.
