Where does the NCAA get their subpoena power? They have no such thing. Their investigative abilities are limited. Sure they can ban players and coaches, but that's about it.

What CDDv is missing is a clue what to do with a roster with a bad front court. So far the answer has been take shots from half court.

Cig's players execute to perfection. That makes up for lack of whatever (size, speed, talent) at the college level. CDDV's guys, not so much. I mean how many chucks and ducks, when we need a basket do we have to tolerate. Right now CDDV and Cig aren't even on the same planet. Hopefully CDDV takes some notes.

So you're going to lose by 20 points. You have a big man project on the bench. Why the hell not put him in and see? Zero to lose at that point. IMO that is bad coaching.

Based on recent history, both Michigan and Auburn are better destinations than Bloomington. Aside from a couple of Tom Crean years, we haven't done squat since the 2002 run. We are not going to make it on looks alone. We need a dog who can coach, schmooze, and build a program. Crean was inconsistent, but the best we had so far. Archie and Woodson just bad. DeVrises, I honestly thought he would be better, but from what I can see he pretty much sux. There was a fan in the stands with a "dusty banners" T-shirt. Truth hurts. :)

Unfortunately, you're wrong to think we can just snap our fingers and get a good hire. IU isn't a destination any longer. We need a guy who has coaching chops that can turn addition into multiplication. Jury is definitely out on DeVries.

Lucky for you (and us), Pam Witten wants IU to be great at everything: Biz school, Music School, Chemistry, etc., including football and basketball. :)

I’ll give him a pass because of the cluster farque he walked into. It took woodson a few weeks to move out of his office for crying out loud. Sometimes you have to take what you get. But I did hope we would see a better coaching job. More fundamentally sound, more disciplined, less turnovers, etc. I didn’t expect chuck and duck.

I don’t think he guarantees anything, but certainly can lay out the plan. You do this, you do that, and you’ll get there type of thing. Good to know they prefer senior level starters - would set alberto’s expectations.
