We hit a 3 to begin the second half and hit a 3 to end it. The rest of the half, Michigan outscored us 48-15. How do you go from handcuffing a team like we did to getting beat like that?

Ok, now we've officially quit.

Thought we would have seen Mack by now. I'm getting the feeling she won't play tonight. Winning this game will be a lot tougher without her, and no chance we can keep up with Iowa if she's out tomorrow.

Some of the stuff we're reading about Woodson's ignorance is just...stunning. Like it's just kind of surreal how a guy can be employed to coach a major sport at a D-1 university while being so clueless.

The optimist in me thinks maybe McNeeley found out Woodson won't be coaching him. The realist in me thinks he realized he doesn't want Woodson coaching him.

I went back and read this post again, and this jumped out at me. I'm curious to hear Jerry's thoughts on this evening's events.

I hope after Woodson strikes out in portal recruiting that we just fire him in a couple months and hire May then.

I applied for a job once. I was told I'd be a great fit, they'd love to talk to me, was handed an application and even told by the person doing the hiring that they had once worked at the place I was leaving behind (though not at the same time). They ghosted me. But now I've learned something from this. I just need millionaires in my corner!

The timing of this is...weird. 2 hours before a game on a Wednesday night in the first week of March. When the AD had to make the unpopular announcement that Crean was staying in 2015, the statement was released on a Friday evening near the end of March. Friday afternoon/evening is when news that won't be received well typically gets released. That's what makes the timing of this so strange.

We live in our own little world on this board and the vast majority of what we discuss here isn't even close to reality.

How many of the BOT members were around when Knight was fired? Earlier today, I think somebody posted each board member and how long they've been on the board, but that was probably about 40-50 pages ago.

We had some success in it during the Davis years. Crean was never a good tournament coach, so a lot of it could be attributed to him.

Well, none of that is going to happen with our current staff. So shouldn't we want it changed? If social media can cause brain damage, Dakich is a textbook case.

It just figures that we'd actually have a big name lined up, with a very strong Plan B, and someone would be trying to squash it. I remember watching cartoons as a kid, in which certain characters would experience something crazy or life-altering and it had the potential to completely revamp the entire show. But inevitably, by the time the episode ended, everything reversed course and things stayed as they were. That's IU basketball today. We dream of getting a guy like Stevens or Pearl, thinking we're finally going to become a force in college basketball again, only to be reminded that we're IU and this is just the way it has to be for some reason.
